Jihyo's PoV

Another day has come, we are now preparing for the fan signing, and here is Ken, who is so excited.

"Noona, how can we go to the venue anyway?" He asked.

"Daniel will arrive later, he will give us a ride," I said.

I saw how his expression changed, from excited to not so. I don't know but maybe Daniel is not really that close to kids. Considering that he didn't even build a bond with his younger sister before...

"How about Dr. K?" Ken asked.

I checked my phone since I messaged her a while ago. I don't even know if she read it... if she didn't, then it's not my fault. She made a promise to Ken, she should be in the event later.

"She'll be there," I said

Hope so...

[Doorbell]

"That must be Daniel, let's go," I said to Ken.

I carried the paper bag that he'll be giving to Chaeyoung later on while he's carrying his backpack.

"Noona, tomorrow... I can go to school already, right?"

"Yeah, if you want to," I said and smiled.

As I opened the door and saw Daniel.

"Hi." He uttered as he kissed me on the cheek.

"Hello, are you sure it's fine that you'll leave the company this day?" I asked as we walk out.

"Yeah, Irene can look after." He said.

We walked into his car, I sat beside him while Ken sat at the back. As Daniel started the car and we are on our way. I noticed Ken's silence at the back. I looked at Daniel and signaled him to talk to him.

"Hello, Ken. How's your day?" Daniel asked as he got my sign.

Ken just looked at him and looked back at me.

"The day is just starting, what do you mean?" Ken said.

I shut my eyes as I realized how stupid was Daniel's question.

Right, he doesn't know how to talk to kids.

"Haha! Right, I'm just testing you. Are you excited?" He asked.

I sighed and just let him.

"Yes, Dr. K and I will be meeting our idol. Do you listen to Chaeyoung noona's song, Hyung?" Ken asked.

"Ah nope... So Dr. K is coming too?"

"Yes," Ken replied.

I looked at my phone but still got no replies. Should I call her? But it's kinda inconsiderate, knowing that she's a busy person. Maybe she forgot it...

"Ken," I called up.

"Yes, Noona?"

"I think Dr. K can't come. I texted her a while ago, but she's not responding." I said.

Ken's expression once changed again. I just sighed since I don't know what to do either.

"Gwaenchana, Dr. K is busy with some other kids. You know she's s doctor of kids..."Daniel said.

"She promised." Ken blunts.

Third Person

Daniel, Jihyo, and Ken arrived at the venue safely. As they entered the place, they got welcomed by crowds.

"Noona, where's Dr. K?" Ken asked as he roamed his eyes.

"I'll get us a seat," Daniel said.

Jihyo and Ken roamed the place to see if Dr. K is already in there while Jihyo also tried to contact the latter.

"She's probably busy—"

"Dr. K!" Ken yelled as he let go of Jihyo and ran to Y/N.

"There you are," Y/N uttered as she chuckled. She kneeled to level at Ken's height.

"Noona said you won't come."

Y/N looked at Jihyo who's running towards them.

"Probably, she doesn't believe me," Y/N whispered as she stood up.

"Dr. K, hello," Jihyo said who quietly surprised.

"Hi, shall we get in our seat? I save seats for us." Y/N said.

"Oh but D—"

"Let's go, noona!" Ken cuts before Jihyo could finish her sentence.

Y/N, Jihyo, and Ken arrive on their seats. Jihyo contacts Daniel since the place starts to be full.

"Is there a problem?" Y/N asked.

"Oh, Daniel came also... I don't know where he is since he got separated from us to look for a vacant seat." Jihyo explained.

Y/N nodded and just focused on Ken. Not so long Daniel arrived too.

"Dr. K, good to see you here." Daniel casually greeted.

"Yeah, same," Y/N mumbled.

Jihyo didn't notice the tension as she's talking to Ken.

"Why are you here? Trying to get what's mine?" Daniel asked.

"I don't see anything here that is yours, what are you trying to say?" Y/N asked unbothered. She has a feeling that Daniel will show up so before she went to the event, she readied herself.

Daniel scoffed bitterly and just stayed in silence.

As the fan signing started, Y/N and Ken just continue to talk not minding Daniel. Y/N knows that the intake is not enough for her to calm so she just closed her eyes to fact that Daniel is with them.

"Noona, I'll go now. Can you go with me?" Ken asked as it's already his turn. Jihyo nodded and left Daniel and Y/N.

"How's your friend?" Daniel asked Y/N.

"You really had the audacity to ask that? After what you did?"

"Uh-oh. I didn't do that, my hands are clean for that." Daniel said.

"Since you're here already, I just want to make a deal with you," Y/N said.

"Ohhh, bring it on, lil sis."

"Shut up, you don't even see me as your sister before."

"Aw, I'm sorry—"

"I said shut up!" Y/N whispered yell and shoved Daniel's arm as Daniel tried to put his Y/N shoulder.

"Don't act like we are even close, it's disgusting." Y/N hissed with her dark eyes started to fume.

"I came back to live with a new life, that's why I changed my name. I'm all good now, I'm successful than you." Y/N said as she looked at Daniel.

"Successful? Do you think you are successful? Ok, if you think so." Daniel laughed as he thought Y/N is clueless.

"I am willing to forget what you did to me before—"

"I told you, I'm not the one who did it. My hands are clean for that." Daniel said.

Y/N grinned as she clenched her fist.

"The next time you'll try to do it again, not just to me but also to Ryujin. You know what will happen."

"So you're really threatening me?"

Y/N looked at Daniel directly with dead eyes.

"Do you feel threatened? Daniel, I am serious about what I said. If you think I can't do it, then think again. You have too much to lose. Your company, your employees, your fame, the friend that has been always on your side... even your girlfriend that you just got after you manipulate her by your own emotions."

"So think, that's only what I am asking. Peaceful life for me and my friends, and I'll keep your secret."
