"Caroline!"

I get no response.

I try again. "Caroline!"

"What?"

Finally. I've been screaming her name for the past fifteen minutes.

"Good to know that you're still alive." I grin to myself.

She groans behind me. "I'm starting to regret my decision to stay alive."

I pout at the wall in front of me. "Aw. Why?"

She sighs. "Because of you-"

I interrupt her. "You're just boosting my ego at this point."

"-And this dress." She continues.

I turn around.

She shrieks.

I glare at her.

She continues shrieking. "Turn around! I'm still not in my clothes."

"I can see that." I deadpan.

"Then turn around!" She shrieks again.

I cover my ears and roll my eyes. "Alright. Fine. Bu-"

She interrupts me. "Thank you."

I turn around and continue, "-But if you aren't done in the next one minute then I'm turning around and dressing you up myself."

She whines. "Oh, come on."

"Take it or leave it." I sing.

She sighs. "Ugh, fine."

I smile. "Good girl. Now I'll be back in five minutes. Make sure that by the time I'm back, you're in the heels that I left here last week."

"What heels?" She asks.

"The one you think you oh-so-cleverly hid." I smirk.

She groans. "How'd you find out?"

I turn around to find her in the silver dress that I'd taken from my room. "I'm your best friend. I know everything. And by the way, the dress looks gorgeous. Now, get those heels and be ready in them by the time I'm back."

I turn towards the door and open it, walking out as I hear her shout, "Where are you going?"

I look back at her and wink, "To make sure that the party is still alive. You know how parties become when I'm not there. They die. I don't blame them though. After all, I am the life of the party."

All I get in response is laughter.

I smile.
