After Aiko left, a strong feeling was telling me to go after her but I couldn't. I went up to my room and changed. I opened up my window, sitting at my desk and opened up my mathematics study book. Hinami entered my room wishing me goodnight and I stood up to hug her. When I went to sit back down, the fresh scent of blood hit me. It smelt like Aiko's. I stood up quickly, grabbing my jacket and running out the door.
I ran down the steps and began running towards the smell. After a few minutes of running, I turned into a alleyway only to stop in horror. I saw Aiko's bag laying on the ground in a puddle of her blood. I picked it up, holding it tightly.
Her blood's scent lingered and I tried to control myself because it smell delicious. Then it hit me. I smelt it, I knew it was there. His scent. The very person I grew up with. Ayato was here. He was the one who did this. And now I needed to find him.
Guilt began to build up in me and some part of me was telling me it was my fault. My fault. I should've gone after her and now she could be dead. I slumped to the ground and began to cry.
It was all my fault that she could be dead.
Soon enough, my sobs turned into sniffles and I stood up. I suddenly heard footsteps and turned to see Hinami. She walked towards me and when she saw Aiko's bag, she gasped.
"What happened, Touka-chan?" I shook my head trying to hold back the tears that threaten to spill.
"Aiko was attacked." Hinami covered her mouth and a tear ran down her face. "Do you know who could've done it?" I nodded my head and a tiny glint of hope shimmered in her eyes. "Ayato." She gasped again and began to cry. I hugged her in my arms. She wiped her tears and looked at me.
"Do you think there's a possibility that she is still alive?" I nodded. But if she wasn't, Ayato better watch out because he doesn't know what's coming. I wasn't going to lose Aiko because we had already lost Kaneki.
I grabbed Hinami's hand and we began walking back, me clutching Aiko's bag tight into my chest.

I watched as Aiko slept, her breathing slow and shallow. Her hair fell in her face and her lips were parted slightly. She looked beautiful. Wait, what was I thinking? I mean yeah, her eyes were a pretty blue. I could stare at them all day but now it's not the time to be thinking about her.
She groaned and her eyes opened right into mine. They widened and she sat up. " Were you watching me sleep? You perv!" I laughed and she covered her head with the blanket with her head. I threw them off and scooped her in my arms. She yelped and I smirked.
"Time to go to your room." She squirmed in my arms. "I can walk, you know!"
"It's more fun this way though." I looked at her face as a blush began to form. She noticed me looking at me and hide behind her hair. I stopped in front of her room and put her down. She sighed and opened the door. When she walked in, she smiled happily. "I like it but um Violet...why can't I go back home? I have a job to do."
I sighed. "It's safer for you. If anyone finds about your power, they'll experiment on you and you wouldn't want that, would you?" She shook her head and jumped on her bed. I walked in behind her and pointed at 3 doors. "This door is connected to my room so if you need anything, you can come in through there."
I pointed at the door a few inches next to it and told her that was the bathroom. She nodded and I finally told her the door on the other side was her closet. "Thank you, Violet!" Ugh, that nickname kills me. I tried not show it and gave her a slight smile. She smiled back before shoving me out her room. Since I didn't know that she didn't have clothes yet, I gave her a pair of my smallest sweats and a t-shirt. I silently walked back to her room, placing it on her bed. I heard the shower turn off and ran out her room.
I sat on my bed when I felt a sudden hunger build up in me. Time for a little snack. I leaped out my window and looked for my next target. I saw another ghoul feasting on an arm. I unleashed my kagune and killed him. I began eating the remains when I started to have an need for Aiko's flesh.
It was good and my mouth began to water for it. I tried to control my hunger but my ghoul took over. I dropped the piece of flesh and leapt back to her. Once I reached her, I crashed through her door and saw her look at me in terror. She backed up into the wall as I slowly approached her. I grabbed her shoulders pulling down the t-shirt. She began to cry and I fought my hardest to let go. I leaned in, smelling her then I bit her.
She screamed and I bit her again. She slumped to the floor, blood forming into a puddle. Once I had my fill, I let go of her and licked her blood off my hands. I returned to normal and when I saw the damage that I done, my eyes widen. I couldn't believe I had done this. Fuck. Her eyes began to close and I cradled her in my arms, shaking her but getting no response. Her wounds were healing slowly but I know she didn't have the energy too.
I laid her on the bed and covered my face. I was supposed to protect her but I ended up hurting her.
What have I done?
