Sena steps into the studio at HYBE, eager to get back to work and focus on the tracks she has almost completed, and the track that Jimin chose to be his song. She takes her middle seat at the mix desk and it feels too low, as though someone has adjusted it for a taller frame. She remembers that's how she always found the chair when Yoongi was working in the studio. She wonders if he has been here, maybe late at night when no one is around. She moves to raise the lever to adjust it for herself, and then, reconsiders. It was his chair first.

She switches on the boards and turns to the monitor, noticing a notebook, stuffed with papers and tied with a leather band, left laying on the edge of the raised platform. She turns the monitor on as she looks at the notebook and wonders at it. It's similar to the one she uses. She reaches back for her coat hanging on her chair and pulls her notebook out to look at it. It's half the size it once was, but now it's filled with only current thoughts and feelings, current ideas. She opens a page, recently written on, and reads her thoughts back; bits of lyrics, half lines for future songs are scratched across the lined paper.

She looks back up at the other notebook, and she reaches to pull it down, noticing it has a similar tie to hers as the two sit beside each other. There is a piece of paper sticking out of it, which appears to be torn, the edges are frayed. She reaches to slip just the edge out a little farther and she sees her name. It's Yoongi's handwriting. She holds the book up to her chest, clutching it, wondering what to do. She wouldn't consider opening it, but, he has obviously been here, and left this book in a place she would find it, with a slip of paper sticking out of it with her name clearly visible.  Does he expect her to open the book? Does he want her to read it?She looks at the slip of paper again as sticks out. It definitely looks as though it's placed there intensionally, it didn't come out from the book on its own.

She puts it back down next to hers to consider. When did he leave this? She knows no one has been working in the room since before the awards ceremony, but, the chair...the notebook. He's been here, she knows now, but not to work, just to leave this behind. She takes a deep breath, and pulls at the tie on the notebook, releasing it. She will just open the book to the page with the slip of paper, and if there is nothing there, she will close it, tie it and leave it right where she found it. She stares hard at the still closed notebook. Did he write her a letter? Does he know that she saw him arguing with Beomseok? She squeezes her eyes shut tightly, trying to get up the courage to open it. She looks behind her to the closed door, and around the room, before she takes the notebook in both hands, using the slip of paper as the bookmark  to open just that page. She moves the paper out of the way and she sees lines written at the top of the paper; lyrics, ideas, thoughts, and she reads,

two halves of one vessel, overflowing with, empty without,

cracked and broken, pieces left

abandon my heart to the blinding glow, a fire raging-

extinguished,

She studies the words and the space he's left to the side and beneath them. She wonders if these are thoughts, or lyrics for his mixtape, or for BTS, and what they mean to him that he wants her to see them. She tries to avoid looking at anything else in the book sensing that only this page is intended for her eyes.

She opens her notebook to a fresh sheet and begins to write. Ideas beginning to flow from the word 'extinguished'. It means 'to end, annihilate' it's violent and abrupt. It's a death.  The two halves of one vessel; two halves of one body, one...soul. She scribbles out words that connect to this idea as they flow through from her brain down through her arm and out to the pen on the white paper. She frowns as she searches for the word; the opposite of 'extinguish', the other side of the coin. 'Ignite'. She smiles and busily scrawls the line into her journal.

She works in solitude most of the afternoon, finishing layers to Namjoon and Hoseok's song for the group, and occasionally adding to the lines in her notepad as a word or lyric comes to her. She leans back in the chair, stretching her arms above her, feeling the exhaustion, and the burden of the creativity. It takes so much from her, and yet it fuels her life. Without it, she has nothing else, but she's at it's mercy. She has to keep working.

She will be ready to start a new song with Jin the next day. She looks around the space, thinking about resting on the couch and then continuing to work, but, it doesn't feel right to be here now. It's late enough that she won't expect to see anyone when she leaves, but, if Yoongi is visiting the studio at night she should probably leave now and give the space over to him to work.

She places his notebook back in the spot where he left it, but she removes the slip of paper with her name. She turns it over and writes his name on it, before slipping it into her notebook, on the page with her lines. She ties it in the same way, and smiles at it as she lays it on top of his notebook. She stares at them together for a long moment, wondering if this is the right thing to do, but sensing, somehow, that it is. She grabs her jacket, and turns off the board before she steps out of the studio, moving toward the elevators to head to the garage. She pulls out her phone to request a car and she looks around her in the empty hallway, wondering if anyone is around, if he is around. The elevator doors open and she steps inside, ready to go home.

The studio sits empty for several minutes, in silent darkness. The keypad breaks the silence as the code is entered and the dark figure of Yoongi steps into the room, shunning the lights and moving directly to the monitor to take the notebook from the side of it, holding it up to see a slip of paper stuck in the side. He smiles slightly as he pulls at the paper to see his name. He exhales, letting go of the stress and he flips on the console, lighting up the mix board, untying the strap and opening her notebook to read what she's left for him.
