They lie together in the dim light of the room, holding onto each other, each sobbing quietly with their own thoughts. It feels so good to hold her, even if he isn't sure what it means and what they can be to each other in her eyes. He knows now exactly what he wants. He knows he could actually have it all, if he fights for it. He hopes it isn't too late to convince her it's possible. If he had just told her everything at the beginning, he knows they would be together now, properly together. He doesn't want to speak and say anything wrong, or push her too much. He's right on the verge of getting what he wants, as long as he doesn't push too hard. It's a delicate balance between fighting to get what he needs, to prove to her he will fight for her, for them, and proving to her that she can trust him to love all of her. He isn't sure how to move forward but he knows he has to, or risk being left behind.

"Sena, tell me what you want. I will listen. I will try to give you what you want, even if it isn't me," he says; the words feel like a lump sticking in his throat. She sniffles and wipes a tear from her cheek as she lifts her head from his chest to look up at him.

"I think you know. I wanted to have both; I wanted to work with you, and be with you. I would have fought for both. I didn't realize I'd have to fight you." He looks down into her eyes, feeling a sting at the idea that she would have been strong enough to fight for them all along, and he feels the pain deeply of his own inadequacy that forced them into this half-life existence. His face winces as he feels the shame, deeply.

"Would you still fight to have both?" His eyes narrow as he studies her reaction. She thinks for a long moment and then she puts her head back down on his chest, looking away from him.

"I'm not very strong right now. I don't know," she admits, feeling her own weakness and fear of being hurt. He bites his lip as his brow furrows. He pushed her too much, he has to back off, even though he doesn't want to. Even though all he wants in this moment is to strip her of every article of clothing and climb up her body leaving kiss after kiss on her honeyed skin. He wants to cling to her, holding her tightly and keep her with him, always. He wants to surrender to her, mind, body and soul. He feels her tears return, wetting the skin under his shirt as he runs his hand over her hair, stroking it to soothe her. He tries to hide the tear running down his own cheek.

"It's OK. We don't have to fight for anything right now. We can just be here together, and maybe tomorrow, we can start again, if that's what you want," he reassures her. She squeezes him a little tighter and he stares up at the ceiling, wondering what he can do to convince her to trust him again. Is it time to confess all, or time to let her feel his strength and his support?

It feels like the safest, most natural place in the world to be this close to him, feeling his chest rise and fall under her with each breath. She wants to raise up and kiss him, and run her hands through his hair, over his shoulders, down over his stomach, feeling his muscles flinch at her light touch. She wants him to be part of her; to fill her life. But, she isn't sure how to release the pain and trust him again. She thought he had dismissed her talent, the way Beomseok had, and it broke her heart in a way she didn't realize was possible. She knows now that was never true, so it seems as though it should be easy to just start up where they left off; to pull all of his clothing off and climb on top of him, bending him to her will, letting her desire overpower her senses, and then, walk into the studio tomorrow and stand next to him, next to all of them, at the control board and work hard until the songs are completed. So why hasn't she just given herself over to him again? Why can't she just lean up and kiss him? What is this one great declaration she's waiting for that will fix it all, and finally release her doubt and her worry?!  If she doesn't know what he needs to do to fix this, how can she expect him to know? She sighs a little, troubled by her own thoughts.

"Can I stay with you?" he asks tentatively. She raises her head again to look at him, surprised.

"What about Jin?" she asks, and he suddenly remembers the family at the hospital. He puts his hand over his eyes as he sighs realizing that he has to go back. She sits up in the bed next to him. "Maybe- maybe you can come by after the baby is born?" she suggests and he moves his hand from his eyes to study her face. He smiles very slightly at the idea, realizing it's an invitation for more; for something, anything more. It's a chance. "I'll probably be up," she shrugs, smiling, a little embarrassed. He smiles broader, rising up next to her on the bed. He puts his arm around her, pulling her closer.

"I would like that. I don't want to leave you." He runs his hand through her hair to smooth it. "I'd better go back now, but can I text you and let you know what's going on?" She nods, and smiles at him, wondering what she will do with this time alone in this empty apartment and a head full of questions. He moves to the edge of the mattress and stands up, looking back down at her sat in her bed. "Oh it's so hard to leave you," he reconsiders. He bends down on his knees in front of her body and wraps his arms around her waist as he looks up into her eyes.

"It's OK, I'll wait for you," she says softly, and he feels the weight of the statement, realizing it means so much more. He smiles and he wants to lean in and kiss her lips, but he leans up and kisses her forehead, opting to be cautious. He stands quickly before he loses his nerve.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," he says, nodding and thinking how much he means it. She stands, and walks with him to her door, this time, holding it open and smiling softly at him. As he begins to walk through it, she leans over and kisses his cheek, quickly, and she turns away, blushing. "as soon as I can..." he repeats and he steps out of her door, this time filled with hope and plans. It isn't fixed yet, but it can be. It can work. He can fill the hole, and he can have it all.

She closes the door, feeling very different to the last time she closed the door to him in this place. She feels a little relieved at having seen him, and touched him again. Her body was aching for his soft touch, and his kiss. She wants to be close to him and breathe in the scent of his skin, and feel the softness of his hair as it tickles her. Something in her is different, and it might be the feeling of hope returning.
