On Saturday morning I sped my whole routine up, just so I could get out to the city, as fast as possible.

After breakfast I stopped Briar as she was walking to her bedroom.

"Briar, what were you doing with Kathy and her brother at the garden party? I saw you all and it looked like you were arguing." I asked

She grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the library room.

"You have to promise not to speak of it to anyone!" She said intensely.

"I promise." I said confused.

"Kathy caught me and Theo under the table, hiding together."

I gasped
"What in earth were you two doing under there?"

"Get your mind out of the gutter! We were simply talking. You're clever, maybe you can help. Kathy is making us do her bidding to keep her quiet."

"What have you done already?" I asked

"Nothing yet."

"Briar, you've really done it this time, Mom's gonna kill you."

"She won't find out." Briar urged.

"Do what Kathy says, but take the power back, pretend as if your whole reputation isn't laying in her hands. And occasionally, refuse to do something. Maybe then it will become less of a monarchy and more of a democracy, understand?"

"Hm, that might help."

"Sorry sister, I have to go." I said

"Wherever to?" Briar asked as I began opening the door.

"I have something important to do."

"You are so odd." Briar shrugged.

I left the library and ran back to my quarters.
I stole my brothers pants and one of his shirts too, but unfortunately my sisters maid busted me and changed me into one of her white dresses

Yay! I thought sarcastically.

I hopped on the carriage and rode into town.

I arrived at the library and entered with the intent of taking my book back and leaving.

At first I couldn't find Atlas so I just took a Jane eyre book from the adventure section and began reading in the corner of the library. I was reading for about 17 minutes.

"Leah?" Atlas asked as he walked up from a nearby book aisle.

"Yes, that is my name." I said sarcastically.

He smiled and said "I didn't think you'd actually come back."

"Why?" I asked

"Because, I figured I probably freaked you out."

"Why?"

"Because I wrote something... romantic, on my note to you" He said as he turned a chair around so that his front was facing the back of the chair and sat down like that in front of me.

"I have no problem with a bit of romance" I said and I looked back down at my book.

"Good."

"Did you read my book?" I asked disappointedly

"No" he lied unconvincingly and we both started laughing.

"I'm sorry I couldn't put it down."

"You flatter me." I said

"Will you write more so I can find out what happens?"

"Will you give me my book back?"

"No." He said and he fake pouted playfully

"Give it to me!" I laughed

"Nooo" He laughed.

"Wait a second." I said and I stood up and went to the romance section.

The first book, on the first row, of the Romance section was mine.

He ran up as I pulled it out.

"Idiot" I laughed

"Write me a chapter." He said staring at my lips and standing very close to me.

"Why'd you put it in the romance section, it's adventure" I said and I stepped behind him and headed back for the table.

"Because."  He stated as he followed me back to the table.

"That's not an answer" I said

"Okay, it's my guilty pleasure. I like romance novels." He said

"Why do you feel bad about it?"

"Because all of my friends make fun of me for it. Supposedly only girls like romance."

"I think it's manly."

He laughed as we sat down at the table.

"So, tell me your guilty pleasure, everyone has one."

"No, it's too embarrassing."

"I showed you mine...show me yours" he urged with a smile

"Okay, but it's a secret."

"Okay."

"I like sewing clothes for my cat." I almost whispered.

"What?"

"I like sewing human clothes for my cat." I said

He laughed. "Why?" He asked

"Because, I find it inherently odd that cats walk around nude" he laughed at my odd thoughts

"That's very...Whymsical" he said through laughing.

"Can I see your cat whom wears clothing?"

"First of all, she's sick right now. And second of all, she probably wouldn't want to see you because i haven't washed her clothes, and she only wears designer." I joked which made him laugh even more.

"I'm not simple" (simple meaning stupid) I stated while he giggled

"I know...your book suggests your smarter than me."

"Really?" I got exited

"Yes, the grammar is perfect, and you talk a lot about the mind. I thought that was interesting."

"I love psychology"

"What's that?" He asked

"It's the study of the human mind."

"Hmm, interesting." He said

"I'm not surprised you don't know about it, it's fairly new to the science world." I said as I opened my book up to check if anything was out of the ordinary about it. I was a bit confused. I thought Atlas would say something, but he didn't he just looked at me fiddling with my book.

"Leah, will you write me a chapter?" He asked

"I don't have ink or-"

"I have some, if I bring it?—"

"Yes, I will write you a chapter." I said confirming his hopes

"Thanks" he said and he bopped my nose with his index finger.

Then he skipped off into the library.
