"Hello?"
"Jungkook, where are you?"
"I just finished recording, I'm leaving the company now, why hyung?"
"Is anyone with you?"
"No, Jin hyung is recording now, and I think Namjoon hyung is still in a meeting."
"Jungkook, go back inside, wait for hyungs."
"What, why?"
"Jungkook, do as I say, please. Go inside and wait for hyungs, don't come home alone."
"Okay, I'll go ba--"
"Jungkook. Jungkook... JUNGKOOK!"

The sound of the phone hitting the ground was heard on the line, followed by, what sounded like a scuffle, and something much bigger falling to the ground. Tae was screaming Jungkook's name into his phone as he and Jimin, Yoongi, and Hoseok, ran from the dorm to their car, Yoongi on his own phone, alerting the company of the situation, as Hoseok gunned for their destination.

Jungkook dropped his phone as he was dragged around the back of the company building and away from prying eyes. He was quickly thrown against the wall and punched in the stomach, followed by a quick punch to his face. Jungkook was completely blindsided by the attack, his vision a bit dazed, and his head pounding. He saw the bat swinging towards him from the corner of his eye. He quickly dodged, sidestepping to the right, bringing his left hand up, harshly pushing his attackers arms to the right, sending the bat sailing from his grip, while simultaneously ramming his right knee into the man's stomach, then slamming his right elbow into the left side of his attackers face before immediately sweeping the guy off his feet, pushing him at the same time so he fell back and away from him, allowing Jungkook to spin on his heels and immediately ran back around to the front the building and inside, just as security was running for the doors.
They stopped to check on the young idol, who told them of his attacker. A handful of security ran out and around the back of the building to apprehend the man responsible for the assault on Jungkook, while the others stayed with the idol. Namjoon had run from the meeting room, where he'd been with the manager and ceo when the call about Jungkook came in, and skidded to halt before his maknae, immediately taking note of the cut to his lip, bruise that was already starting to form on his face, and the shock still lingering in his eyes. Namjoon slowly approached the boy, and took him gently into his arms. He could feel the younger trembling, his heart pounding in his chest. He held him, rubbing his hands on Jungkook's back in comfort, then raising one hand to gently stroke the boy's head, all while speaking soft words of comfort.
Namjoon saw Jimin, Yoongi, Taehyung, and Hoseok approaching at a run through the glass doors. They froze when they saw the state of their maknae.
"Jungkook..."
Jungkook turned toward the four boys, "I'm okay hyungs, just a little bruised is all. I'm...okay."
Suddenly Jungkook felt himself begin to fall as his knees buckled, and his vision grew dark.

"What happened?!"
"Jungkooks okay hyung," Namjoon assured the eldest as he all but barreled through the hospital room door, "he's got a small cut on his lip, and a few minor bruises, he passed out due to shock, doctor says he should wake in a few hours."
Jin sighed, his body sagging in relief at the news. "Did they get them?"
"They did," Yoongi said with a nod, "saw security dragging him to the front of the building as the police were arriving."
"Good."
Sniffles were heard from Jungkook's bedside. "This is all my fault."
"Taehyung, this isn't your fault, the fault lies with the man who attacked Jungkook, not you." Namjoon said gently.
"But I'm the reason he was attacked hyung, you saw the letter, Kookie was attacked because of me." Tae cried.
"Taehyungie, look at me," Jin said softly as he knelt beside the younger, who slightly turned in his seat and raised his head to his hyung, "we don't know if the attack on Jungkook is related to the letter you received, or if it's a coincidence, but even if it's all related, it doesn't make it your fault. You are not responsible for what happened, the man who assaulted Jungkook is responsible, the unstable, obsessive individual sending you those letters, are responsible, not you."
"Jin hyungs right Tae, don't let them manipulate you into believing their actions are a reflection, or consequence, of yours." Namjoon added.
Taehyung nodded his head as he wiped the tears from his eyes, his hold on Jungkook's hand tightening.
