Colin's POV

The next three weeks went by with grace. We had a sort of routine going. I ended up getting a job about two weeks ago. Telly, Lily, Danny, and I all had jobs now. We worked, we went to the beach and some evenings we went to parties.

We danced, we drank, when we stayed at the twin's house we had movie nights and when I didn't see Lily I spoke to her on the phone, either by texting or calling her.

Life was good, the summer was good, and Lily and I were good. I was ok with not dating her because she was a big part of my life now. It felt like nothing could ruin our flow.

Or so I thought.

I looked at my phone after my shift at the local dinner as a busboy.

'I'm in California, I want to talk, call me - H.'

Welp, I'm screwed.

I left her on delivered, I don't have the patience to deal with her right now.

Making my way home, I got another text, this one I actually opened.

'Movie night at the house? - Telly'

I responded with a thumbs up, telling her I would pick up a pizza, and got into my car. When I got to the house I heard yelling and knew that Lily, Danny, and Telly were here. I walked into the living room and saw the twins fighting over which movie to watch. Lily was standing to the side until she saw me, smiled, walked over, and took the pizza from me.

I laughed at her, grabbed one of the movies the twins set on the table, and put it into the DVD player. I took a seat next to Lily and grabbed a slice of pizza. It took the twins ten minutes to realize we already started a movie and then they went to make popcorn before coming to sit down.

After half an hour my phone started to ring, I turned it on silent and set it on the coffee table with the empty pizza box. Lily leaned into my shoulder and nudged me.

"Avoiding someone?" she teased.

"Something like that" I replied with a smirk.

The next day, Lily and I both had off, while the twins had to work. I invited her over to hang out and we ended up baking a cake from scratch. She decided it would be fun to prank me and cover me in flour.

As I was cleaning off my hands, my phone started to ring.

"Hey, can you grab that for me," I ask Lily as she finishes cleaning off the counter.

"Sure". She walks over and picks it up reading the message. She goes quiet for a minute after picking up my phone.

"Who was it?" I ask once I finish wiping my hands dry after I got off all the flour. She doesn't say anything so I grab my phone from her hands cautiously.

'Babe, meet me at the food court in the mall - H.'

Shit. This looks bad.

"You have a girlfriend?" Lily asks once I finish reading the message, I set my phone down and reach to grab her hands but she steps away from me.

"Wait Lily I can explain" I plead as she starts to grab her stuff to leave.

"I feel so stupid, I really thought you were going to wait for me, what an idiot" she whispered the last part.

"No Lily you're not stupid, just let me explain," I say again but by the time I finish she is already out the door, slamming it in my face. I wanted to run after her but my phone started to ring and anger took over my actions.

I storm into the kitchen and pick up my phone.

"WHAT?" I yell into it.

"Well that's no way to answer my phone calls after not speaking to me for weeks"

"Hannah, what do you want?"

"I want to see you"
