I woke up.
I was surrounded by something.
The bright blue sky was all I could see.
My ears tingled with the sound of something familiar.
My hand dug into something soft. It was soft, soft enough that it broke through so easily.
A small wind hit me. Carrying something along with it. My mouth felt dry. The wind carried sand.
I could feel it as I chewed on some of it on accident.
I shot up.
Sitting up straight. I was covered in sand.
The only thing was a towel under me.
"Hi." A small whisper.
I looked around desperately for the voice. I knew that voice. I wanted to hear more of it.
The sound of waves was so soothing.
I was at a beach.
The water in front of me was clear. A light blue. Exactly the color of the sky. The waves were white. The whitest color ever. It looked beautiful.
I looked down at my hand.
As I was holding something in it.
I faced my palm upward, slowly opening it up.
Inside was her ring.
What had happened? Where was I?
"Hey boss."
I shot my head towards the direction I heard it from. But there was no one.
That was Bokuto. I was sure it was.
"After so long."
Tsukishima.
My heart was beating rapidly.
I jumped onto my feet. It was their voices. They were here. I couldn't see them anywhere.
"Sad."
I gasped.
It was Oikawa. Oikawa's voice.
Where were they?
The beach was empty.
Was it all a dream?
What dream?
Where were they?
Where was I?
"You idiot." He chuckled.
Oikawa again.
What had happened? Why was I here?
I was barefoot. My shoes at the side of the towel.
Next to my shoes were shoes I recognized.
Y/n.
"Follow the path."
Osamu.
What path? There was no path.
The ocean started to hit harder against the rocks. The waves getting even bigger.
I looked around at the ground. There had to be a clue somewhere.
The wind was stronger.
Sand blowing into my face.
"Why?"
Atsumu.
Were they all here? Where? Where were they?
I took my first step into the sand.
