Personality
Somewhat similar to his former mentor, a quiet but smart person best describes Joe. Keeping himself to himself and analysing the environment around him, he maintains a wary attitude toward newcomers. While prone to make witty remarks pre the 'Guardians of the Globe + Omni Man' incident that resulted in the death of Darkwing alongside the rest of the team.
The Cat soon resurfaced in a newly updated suit a few months later. Unlike the previous armour, this one was primarily consistent of nanotechnology, which allowed for quick adaptation to new threats and environments as well as easy storage. This new Cat was definitely quieter and almost certainly more violent. Gone were the witty remarks, replaced by ruthless efficiency. Much more violent beatdowns and scare tactics were employed as the Black Cat hunted for the murderer of his mentor. In addition, this more mature and hardened crime fighter is cynical, however maintains some of the cockiness of his former self.
