Chapter 13

In the hospital room,

"No, no," Song Jiyang demurred, "can you both please stop joking?"

"Jiyang we are not joking," Yu Bin said showing him the pictures of the ultrasound scans.

"There must be some mechanical defect in that machine, Even if I believe that I have a womb inside me just like females but I still can't believe that I am pregnant," Song Jiyang said, "Cheng come on you know this is not possible explain him,"

"Why can't it be possible?" Yu Bin chided.

"Because Yu Bin I have not had sex in my entire life how can I be pregnant with a child," Song Jiyang exasperated as he sighed heavily.

"Yu Bin, Jiyang is right if he did not have sex with anyone how can he be pregnant I don't believe Lan Xichen anyways," grumbled Cheng.

"Cheng stop judging him based on your experience as your ex-lover." Yu Bin ranted, "He is a qualified doctor, why would he make a false judgment?" 

"Is somebody questioning my skills?" Lan Xinchen chimed in walking in through the door.

"Talk of the devil!!" Cheng huffed.

Song Jiyang greeted the doctor and thanked him for saving him last night. The doctor did some basic checkups.

"Amm... He is ok now," Lan Xinchen concluded and then his gaze shifted to Cheng.

Lan Xinchen, "It's ok if you don't believe me but don't question my medical skills,"

Cheng huffed and bashed out of the room.

"Are you sure doctor there is a child inside me?" Jiyang queried confusion crossing his mind.

Lan Xinchen, "You don't believe the ultrasound reports?" 

Jiyang hesitated for a moment and then replied, "I do agree but as I said to Yu Bin I never got involved in a physical relationship with anyone so it's really difficult to believe. I hope you understand."

"That's something we need to think about," Lan Xinchen said; his hands under his chin thinking of the way they could confirm it.

"What if the vampire who had sex with him erased his memory?" Lan Xinchen thought; his gaze fixed on Jiyang.

"Lan Xichen?" Yu Bin called Lan Xinchen as he looked lost.

"Yu Bin can you come to my cabin for a moment," Lan Xichen said and walked out of the room.

"Jiyang, a nurse is here for you." Yu Bin said and then shifted his gaze to the nurse, "Please take care of Jiyang."

In Lan Xinchen's cabin,

"Are you sure?" Yu Bin queried after Lan Xinchen told him about the thing he thought while they were in Jiyang's room.

"It can be the case, Don't tell Jiyang that the child inside him is a hybrid. I don't know how will he react let's wait for the right moment,"  Lan Xichen suggested.

Yu Bin and Cheng nodded.

Lan Xinchen, "We need to narrow down the list of vampires to find out who the father of this child is,"

"There is no need to go through the list of all the vampires in the whole world, I know who did it," Cheng badgered and added, "Jiyang was friends with Xiao Zhan, Yibo, Li Bowen, and Haoxuan. Yu Bin and I had once gone to pick him up for the college from Haoxuan's villa."

"Then it must be one of them," Yu Bin concluded.

"I don't agree to this," Lan Xinchen explained, "giving birth to a hybrid is something considered a good omen in this vampire world why would they leave him like this but, wait!! Maybe they are unaware of his pregnancy."
