So
you were born this day
two thousand plus years ago
what am I to make of it
yesterday there was a
crush of people at the Mall
and for a poor young couple
and a child somewhere,
everywhere, no room at the inn.
I am reading Philip Yancey's book;
you know him, the "Grace" man,
makes me wonder why
you gave him privileged
access to your heart
him not being a world-saving
politician, denizen of the
legal labyrinth, or
golden-eyed celebrity
of the Sun to
be of interest to the
child of God (your loathing
of the perfectly correct, glorious-example-to-follow Pharisees, being much
exaggerated in my book
and in
my humble opinion).
