Everyone was glued to their phones, watching the attack. Especially Marinette, who had both Adrien's and Luka's phones to watch.

And almost everyone was shocked at seeing a new Ladybug and Chat Noir. The only ones not shocked were Alya and Adrien, and of course Marinette because she didn't realize that they looked different.

"This is crazy," Juleka murmured. "I can't believe they got new superheroes."

"I hope nothing bad happened to the original ones," Rose cried.

"Did Hawk Moth discover their identities?" Mylène theorized.

"I'm sure they're fine," Alya said, trying to reassure everyone.

A few meters away Marinette was slowly running out of space as Adrien and Luka kept moving closer to her. "Why is this taking so long?" she asked, turning to Luka. "You said these things usually last thirty minutes. It's already been over an hour."

"Some take longer than others. Plus, it seems like the new superheroes are having trouble."

Marinette hunched forward slightly and crossed one arm across her chest to hold onto the other arm.

"Marinette," Adrien said softly, noticing her change in demeanor. "Are you alright?"

"I don't know," she whispered. "I don't know if I'm nervous or anxious... I can't figure it out. Ever since I woke up after my fall I've had this strange feeling. And it keeps getting worse and worse. It... it's so hard to describe. And I..."

Adrien nodded as he listened to her. He knew exactly how she felt. Ever since he gave up his Miraculous, he felt strange too, like a part of him was missing. But at least he had the luxury of understanding what it was.

When she was done speaking he gently hooked his finger under her chin and turned her head so she could see him. "No matter what happens, I'm here for you Marinette." He leaned in close. "You'll always have me."

She tilted her head, caught in the stare of his green eyes. "Adrien, I..."

"Come on Marinette," Luka interrupted, grabbing her hand. "I think you need to get up and walk around a little. I'll come with you. And maybe that will make you feel better."

"No," Adrien argued, not letting her get up. "You should stay here and rest."

"Come on," Luka insisted.

"Stay here."

Luka glared at him. Adrien glared back.

"Alright, let's give Marinette some room to breathe," Alya said, coming over and pulling her away from the two boys.

Once they were a distance away, Marinette whispered to her. "Thank you. Are they always like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like... aggressively nice."

Alya shook her head. "No, they're usually just regular nice."

"So weird," Marinette mumbled to herself.

"Well besides the aggressive niceness, what do you think of Adrien?" she asked again, a smile dancing on her lips. "He's pretty cute, huh?"

Marinette looked back over at him. "Uh yeah I guess. Why do you ask? Do you have a crush on him or something?"

"No!" Alya quickly screeched. She blinked before continuing in a softer tone. "I'm dating Nino."

The girl almost fell over. "You're dating Nino?"

"Oh yeah, I guess I never mentioned that."

"You definitely did not mention that! How long have you been dating?"
