I only stared.
I wanted to violate your rules like you indirectly did mine.
you dressed in that obsidian satin dress, with a trail crafted of placid gazes and fiery passion, that swept behind, with every stride you took.
the pearls that wrung about your neck were gentle percussion to the music that your voice produced, as it echoed my name.
the colour to your cheeks burned into my eyes, like a warm afterglow of a hearth, so bright crimson were they.
the colour of love, as the poets might call it.
I stared at you all night, my eyes fixated on every dip and fold, every string of the crimson ribbon that braided into your onyx locks, like a river of pomegranate red; it glimpsed its way across the gentle mass that you called your hair.
~ oh, my dear,
I was but a mere boy utterly vanquished by your sheer elegance and grace.
