Cold Nights (Dabi x reader)

Y/N POV
You and Dabi were scoping around tonight. It was cold and there was a freezing breeze and unfortunately, unlike Dabi, your quirk didn't prevent you from being cold. Since it had been warmer while the sun was up and you hadn't expected to be out for so long you hadn't thought to bring a jacket so you were in a simple t-shirt. The two of you were on your way back to the bar but it was still so far away and as another breeze blew you held your own arms trying to warm up some. Your teeth chattered loudly and Dabi had obviously noticed.

After a while, more of walking and your freezing condition only getting worse Dabi stuck out a hand in front of you to stop you. "Not a word." You gave him a weird glance and then were surprised when he grabbed your arm and pulled you into a nearby alley. Not sure of what he was planning you pulled away and just stared at him not sure of what to do. "Stop being difficult."

He grabbed your arm and pulled you against him feeling his arms wrap around you. "What are yo-" You started before you realized how warm he was. Most likely it was from his quirk and you stopped speaking just staying silent. After a while of standing tense and not sure how to react wanting to pull away but also wanting to stay, you felt one of his arms rub your back in small circles. "Jeez relax some, I'm not gonna hurt you." You leaned into him startling Dabi since he hadn't been expecting that but made no sign of protest.

As you got more comfortable letting the warmth soak into your body and remove the numb feeling you wrapped your arms around Dabi snuggling against him and placing your face in the crook of his neck. He just continued to rub soothing circles on your back and stayed silent.

The two of you stayed like that, leaning on the wall and out of sight from anybody else. When another breeze blew Dabi pulled you closer shielding you from the wind with his jacket. Eventually, Dabi's phone rang and he pulled it out with one arm still wrapped around you and you glanced at his phone seeing it was a text from Shigaraki asking where they were. It was late but Dabi just put his phone back in his pocket making no moves to leave.

Eventually, it got late and the warmth was nice, you leaned against Dabi, and his arms supported you as you slowly fell asleep feeling safe in his arms. When you fell asleep against him he stayed still and eventually lifted you and carried you carefully back to the bar.
