I was up all night but that is fine because I don't have anything going on till noon tomorrow when I have a meeting with Tom and Tracy. I set up a workstation in the living room. Adam hung out with me for a while and then fell asleep on the couch. I don't think his Wolf liked me being nearer the door than him so he wouldn't go to bed. I will have to try to work out a different solution next time so he can sleep in his bed.
I read every, 'Research Survey,' and even if they said I should not be able to I can remember every face and name and spark. Since I am Googling like mad tonight I thought I would Google that too and it turns out it is a human thing called, 'photographic memory.' Not a talent or power or anything just a good memory for things you see.
First I researched the crap out of medieval castle staff structure and made a list. Then I make a list of popular human jobs and try to match those to the old jobs. Then I wrote down what I think I know from the colors. Then wrote everything I could think of from my old Pack and my new Pack and the Cameron Pack. Then I tried to work out how some of the new jobs transferred to rank now. Some were straight forward and some were not.
Also, one thing seemed to be sort of missing from the Cameron pack and definitely missing my old Pack and so far from my new Pack. That dark green. Before today I thought Marshall was the darkest green there was but now that I am thinking about it, these could be my missing Elders! I think in medieval times they were called Chancellor. They were in charge of religion and education. I would bet money that the dark greens that were meant to be Chancellors were being demoted to school teachers at a human school or something. They were our missing Elders, Epsilons!
I think from talking to Mark and Donna tonight that basically what happened is that they, the Chancellor/Epsilons tried to tell the Alpha's what is right, what the Great Luna wanted, what history teaches us, and they got demoted. Alpha's typically don't like to be told they are wrong but someone has to do it. But if you fire that person so often that no one even remembers that there were ever meant to be Chancellors, then no one will ever tell them when they are wrong and then they, the Alphas, have free reign to do whatever they want.
A perfect example of that free reign going wrong was the Cameron Pack. Which was also an example of Communism gone wrong. It looked like 3/4 of the Pack worked to support 1/4 of the Pack. The top people seemed to do nothing and the bottom ones probably would have left a long time ago if those Chancellors were not there holding things together for them. I almost want to poach them but I couldn't do that to all those Wolfs. They would fall apart without them.
I yawned and stretched.
Now I know what I am looking for, Dark Green-Epsilon-Chancellors! Chance are good that wherever they are now, they are not happy and if persuading them to join my pack would not make the bottom fall out from under the rest of the Wolves wherever I was taking them from, I was going to recruit them!
But now it's time for bed. I am so proud of myself I did not look at even one email from Eric all day. I go touch Adam's arm, "I am going to my room now Adam, thanks for watching over me." He gets up, seems to do a quick check to make sure the room is still safe and wanders off to his room.
The next morning or technically the the next day when Avery woke up at 11:30 AM and turned off her alarm she wonderer out to see if Sabine was here. Thank goodness she was there!
"Sabine, can I have 5 minutes?"
"Absolutely what's up?
"I just wanted you to pick my outfit for the day."
"Really?" Sabine jumped out to Marshall's lap and ran to Avery's room and started sorting through what Avery and Meg had brought and then she turned and ran out of the room. Avery who had just gotten into the room, turned around walked out again but by the time she got to the mini kitchen where everyone was hanging out Sabine was out the door of the hotel room.
