Me and Lucas and Skylar were going through my closet trying to find me something to wear, I have to be in the court room because my mom wants me as second chair
Saying that I'm nervous was an understatement, this is something that I've basically been preparing for my whole life
Dominic was coming to pick Skylar up, she can't come into the courtroom with me, she'll want to be by my side the whole time and she doesn't like being around new people
Me and Dominic had a small disagreement, he has training and wanted me to take her but like I said she's gonna be a distraction
"What about this mommy?" She held up a black suit that I got last year

I smile at her "definitely, thank you bean" she hands it to me and says "you're welcome mommy"
I start to take off my pajamas, yes in front of Lucas too. We've seen each other undressed before
As I'm putting my pants on I tell Skylar "So daddy is coming to pick you up ok" and Skylar just looks at me and says "why can't I go with you"
I look at her concerned because, she loves to go over Dominic's house and hangout with him "no, I'm going to the courthouse and you'll distract me, why don't you wanna hangout with daddy?"
"I-I just wanted to hangout with you today" she sighs and looks down, I go over to her and kiss her head "when court is over I'll come hangout with you ok?"
She just nods her head and walks out of my room "what's gotten into her?" Lucas asks and I shrug "I don't know, she usually is excited anytime I even mention that man name"
I hope she's ok

I look at my watch and I have to be in court in an hour
Dominic needs to hurry up
"Are you sure I can't go with you mommy" Skylar says, sitting on the couch with her backpack on playing with her dolls
"Skylar, what's wrong" I ask her and she looks away "Skylar" I say in a more stern voice
She sighs "I just don't want to hangout with daddy today, I miss hanging out with you" I look at her in concern "Skylar, you know you can tell me anything right? We'll hangout when I get home" And she gives me a smile and nods her head yes
I hear a knock on the door, I get up and open the door and Skylar gets off the couch and runs to her dad "daddy!" She yells with open arms
"Baby!" Dominic shouts back picking her up and tossing her in the air
All you can hear is Skylar's screams and giggles
My neighbors is gonna have a fit
"Sorry I'm so late, traffic" he says to me and I nod and grab my purse
