(Y/N) let out a soft groan as she sat up from the blankets she had slept on. She rubbed her eyes, hoping it would help her wake up and while it didn't, something else did. She had looked around the room and noticed the dark blue walls of the room before looking to her side, where the bed was and noticed Tom's sleeping figure. His arms wrapped around the Tomee Bear and the asdf plushie, his breathing soft and relaxed. (Y/N) felt a smile tug at her lip as she stood up and walked to the door. Opening it ever so gently as to not disturb Tom's sleep.
(Y/N) succeeded and got out into the hallway as she walked to the kitchen downstairs. In the mornings, (Y/N) would always feel a migraine, causing her to be sensitive to loud sounds in the morning. Luckily for her, Edd and Matt weren't up yet. The house was quiet, just how (Y/N) liked it.
She looked outside the window, noticing the cloudy skies and feeling a slight breeze as she opened the door. (Y/N) took a deep breath before walking outside with a hoodie she "borrowed" from Tom. The cool wind blowing in her face made her migraine disappear just a bit. She had only stepped outside for a bit of fresh air and didn't realize someone had come down the stairs.
The boy watched as (Y/N) stood outside, she took a deep breath and sighed, he smiled at the fact she could feel a sense of peace when everything seemed to be so chaotic with them. He stopped looking in (Y/N)'s direction after realizing they'd been staring at the girl for a bit too long. They heard the door open and quickly scrambled to get to the kitchen in hopes she wouldn't find out they were spying on her.
"Oh, hey Edd," the brunette returned the smile (Y/N) was giving him. Her voice was a bit deep and tired from just waking up.
"Oh, (Y/N)! You're up early," Edd stated, unsure of the reason why the girl would be up so early.
(Y/N) checked her phone, the screen read "6:26." To (Y/N), this was pretty late as Red Leader would force his soldiers to wake up at four on the dot. She put her phone in the pocket of the hoodie, peaking Edd's interest.
"It's a force of habit," (Y/N) said, walking over to the kitchen and sitting down on a chair as Edd did the same.
"Why are you wearing Tom's hoodie?" Edd pointed out the blue hoodie (Y/N) was wearing.
"I found his closet and noticed he had a bunch of blue hoodies so, I don't think he'd mind if I took one,"
The two felt a sense of a connection as they spoke, the way the other would listen with such interest and how they made each other laugh. The two liked having someone to talk to and feel like themselves with. (Y/N) checked her phone, the time now reading "7:46." Edd had stood up and grabbed some bacon from the fridge, holding it in his hand as he looked at (Y/N).
"You want some?" (Y/N)'s mind went back to what Red Leader had told her about Edd. He has an obsession with both Cola and bacon.
"Sure, you want me to help make breakfast?" (Y/N) suggested, trying her best to keep the promise she made to Tom. The promise to be the best friend she can be.
"Thanks, that would be a big help!" Edd handed (Y/N) a box of pancake mix, pointing to the instructions and giving her an idea of what to do before getting a pan, washing it and placing it on the flame of the stove. As he waited for the water to dry, he walked up behind (Y/N) and watched as she poured the contents of milk, egg, pancake mix and a hint of oil into the bowl before mixing it all up.
Edd returned back to the stove and poured some oil into the pan before placing the bacon inside. Edd felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see (Y/N) with a bowl of batter in her hands. He smiled before grabbing the bowl out of her hand and pouring the batter onto a black rectangular pan, making about four circles for the pancakes as he heard footsteps to his right.
