Chapter 3

Hotaru's POV
Second day of UA is gonna be interesting. I can feel it. For starters, Yuki finally got an acceptance letter soon after she got home after dinner with us. I walked into class and was met with yelling between the Midoriya twins and... Sarah Kaminari. I kept the door open so that Kami-sensei could hear something was going on whilst he was on his way.
I decided to wait a few minutes before stepping in. But once I had noticed that Kami-sensei was a couple minutes late, I stepped in
Me: HEY, SHUT UP!!
Everyone went silent and looked towards me
Me: does someone wanna explain what the fuck this ruckus is all about?!
They all looked at the twins and Sarah. It was silent until one of them decided to speak up
Izumi: me and my brother accidentally touched one of Sarah's stuff without our gloves on and made it explode. We didn't mean to but she was having none of it..
I looked to Sarah
Me: that true?
She looked back at me
Sarah: it was the only thing I had left of my grandmother before she passed!
I raised an eyebrow at all 3 of them
Me: I feel like some bad names were called.. spit it out
No one, including me, had noticed that Sensei was watching right at the door
Sarah: I..... I called them villains...
I went wide-eyed
Me: Sarah-!
She cut me off
Sarah: yes I know! Im sorry! I didn't mean to call them that it just slipped out! It was never the intention to hurt them...
I just stared at her with wide eyes until I heard Kami-sensei sigh. Everyone looked at him at the same time as me turning around
Denki: wow... never expected you to say something like that..
She started to tear up
Sarah: dad, I'm sorry.. it was never my intention to say such a thing... I know how self-conscious they are of their quirk.. but it was still said and I'm so.. so sorry...!
The twins looked at her in sympathy
Izumi: Sarah, it's okay... we know you didn't mean it but it still hurt...
She looked away and nodded
Sarah: I-I know....
It was silent for a moment
Sarah: I, um... I-.. I need a minute outside...
Before anyone could reply she ran out of the classroom. I noticed tears running down her cheeks. By the looks of it, so did Sensei.. he sighed as he rubbed his face
Denki: I should call her dad in case she doesn't come back after a while
I stopped him
Me: I'll go look for her if she doesn't come back after 10 minutes
He looked at me
Denki: you sure?
I nod
Me: 100 percent
He smiled warmly at me
Denki: ...thank you.. alright everyone. Sit at your desks and we can finally start the lesson
Everyone sat at their own desks and waited for the lesson to start

10 minutes later

After seeing it had been 10 minutes I stood up and walked out to find Sarah. No one questioned as they knew I said I would do this. I walked around the entire school to find her, even looking around the dormitory to see if she had hid there. I then went towards the 1-B classroom cause I remembered that her second father, Hitoshi Kaminari, AKA Pro Hero Mindjack, was a teacher in there. I knocked on the door until I heard a faint deep voice tell me to come in. I opened the door
Me: hey, sir. I'm looking for Sarah. She had an argument with the Midoriya twins and had a small breakdown after realising she unconsciously called them a name that made them self-conscious of their quirk. I was wondering if she had been here at some point?
He looked at me with wide eyes
Hitoshi: she's had a breakdown..? That's the first one she's had in 2 years... well if she's not around here... where else have you checked?
Me: everywhere. This was the last place I could think of since you're her father
He nodded
Hitoshi: there's a small cliff place with an amazing view of the city. She likes to go there to calm down from situations like this. Here..
He grabbed a small post-it note and wrote something on it then handed it to me
Hitoshi: that's the location of it
I grabbed the paper then thanked him before I took off. Once I was outside the UA gates I looked at what was written
Me: I know this place..
I spread my wing bones and activated my quirk. My wings may be made of fire but that doesn't mean I can't fly. I flapped wings hard the took off towards the cliff place. I don't care if I don't have a license to use my quirk in public. This is a situation that needs to be solved. My teacher's daughter is out there pretty much regretting her life right now...

Time skip to reaching her destination

Once I reached the place, I landed quietly and slowly walked up behind Sarah. She was sat at the edge taking in the view of the city
Me: beautiful, right?
She gasped and whipped her head around to look at me. She relaxed once she saw it was me
Sarah: y-yeah.. it is
I sat down next to her. We sat there in silence for a bit before I decided to speak up
Me: no one is blaming you, you know..
She looked down
Sarah: I know some are... I don't know why I said that about them...
I brought a hand up to put on her shoulder. But before I did I looked at her to ask for consent on doing so. After she nodded I placed my hand down
Me: you were angry. Trust me, I've said some pretty hurtful things to people unconsciously when I was pissed too.. it was mainly at my dads... things that I've never meant to say to them but they understood and we never mentioned it again. Because we know it's a bad memory... so talk to them. Apologise to eachother. They apologise for destroying your.. whatever it was and you apologise to them for calling them the one thing that made them conscious of their quirk.. sound good? It can just be a memory to forget about
She looked at me whilst listening carefully. She looked away for a moment to think before smiling then looking at me
Sarah: yeah.. I can do that
I smiled back at her before standing up and offering her a hand which she gladly accepted. I helped her up
Me: I know I don't have a license to use my quirk but it's necessary if we wanna get back to class on time
I held her close to my with arms around her waist. I noticed a small blush on her cheeks which made me smile a bit before activating my quirk again and taking off

Timskip yet again. They make it back to school and now it's lunch

I walked into the cafeteria and sat next to Sarah. She smiled warmly at me as we sat and talked with the entire class of 1A. We got Michael Kirishima showing off his hardening quirk then using it to copy Taylor Yamada's quirk. We got the Midoriya twins eating their food with their pinkies lifted like Shigaraki does when he doesn't have his gloves. We got Yuki trying to stop Sero's son from taping some creep to the ceiling with his Half Tape quirk. And then we got me and Sarah just joking around and laughing everyone being crazy as hell. This school hasn't been bad so far... but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up... who knows what's out there for us..

Denki's POV
I was currently on the phone receiving news about two of my students' parents' locations being found. We were thinking of a plan to help get them out once I tell their daughters the situation
Me: alright... I'll find them now and let them now.... thanks, Shota
After that, I hung up the phone with my old teacher and father-in-law.
Me: Hitoshi..
Hitoshi: yeah?
I looked at him with worry visible in my eyes
Me: can you go find two of my students..
He nodded
Hitoshi: yeah sure.. who?
I stayed silent for a minute before finally speaking up
Me: Yuki and.. Hotaru..... Takami.
