Eto na.. we arrived at school.. I pulled my hand away from Jungwon's and gave him the signal to keep a small distance with me, that way di kami mapapansin na we're dating.

We talked while walking papunta sa school bus which is the vehicle we're riding papunta sa Libertine Academy.. I'm still nervous but since Jungwon noticed me earlier, tinago ko nalang ulit. Ayokong magworry sya.

"Alright students who were chosen please get inside the school bus na, we don't want to be late para sa contest" sabi ni ma'am

Kaming lahat nakapila at isa isa kaming pumasok sa bus, tumabi si Jungwon saken.. di naman yun halata diba? besides, some friends and bestfriends sit beside each other.

"You okay?" tanong nya saken, napakuno ang noo nya habang hinihintay nya ang aking sagot.

I wanted to tell him I wasn't, I don't want to lie.. but how come I can't tell him the truth? the real reason why I'm so nervous? why I'm sweating bullets? It's because I love him. I don't wanna hurt him by telling him how my father isn't happy with how he is with me para sa contest.

"Yeah I'm okay.." sabi ko, licking my dry lips while looking beside the window. Amputcha, nakalimutan ko pa talaga lipbalm ko. Halatang-halata tuloy na kinakabahan ako.

Medyo maingay ang bus, pero kami ni Jungwon tahimik talaga. Walang usapan, wala. He just kept looking at the front, at ako naman ay nakatingin sa labas. Time goes by so slowly, but at the same time very fast. Medyo malapit na kami, we wore our bags and stood up as soon as the bus stopped sa parking lot ng Libertine.

"Math competitors this way please" sabi ng teacher na incharge para sa math contest

"Literature competitors this way" sabi ni ma'am

Bumaba ako and I took a deep breath, di ko alam pero everytime na kinakabahan ako para akong nasusuka na parang nahihirapan sa paghinga.

"Tara?" sabi ni Jungwon

"Oh sige, tara tara" sabi ko

We entered the school and searched for the classroom kung saan magaganap ang literature contest, nagpunta kami ng 2nd floor since doon daw ang classroom.

We sat down na sa mga available chairs, naghintay kami sa teacher na incharge. Halata namang ipagpapahiwalay kami kase galing kami sa same school, we have to sit away from each other.

"Goodmorning everyone" sabi ng teacher nung pumasok na sya sa classroom

Kaming lahat tumayo and nag-bow

"Goodmorning po" sabi namin lahat

"I'll do an attendance check before we start" sabi ng teacher

She started calling the names and so far kumpleto naman, then she called Jungwon

"Yang Jungwon from Melviore High?" sabi ng teacher

"Present" sabi ni Jungwon habang tumayo, raising his hand halfway then sat back down.

"Moon Eunji from Melviore High?" sabi ng teacher, I stood up quickly and said "Present" then sat back down.

She called the last names left on the list and took out the timer

"Is everyone ready?" tanong nya, looking at us. Making sure everyone is ready, wala nang lalabas para mag-pee break or ano.

We all nodded, nilabas ko kaagad ang aking ballpen at papel. My strategy is different from others, sila diretso na sa pagsusulat sa bondpaper but me? Nah, nagdadraft muna ako sa papel and then when I think it sounds okay na dun ko na sya sinusulat sa bondpaper. It's allowed naman dito kaso parang ako lang talaga ang gumagawa neto.. it's fine, I'm unique naman daw sabi ni mama hshsh

The teacher finally set the alarm to 1 hour, 1 hour is enough for me to come up with a topic.

Everyone is so focused and so am I. I just hope that Dad's reminder would pay it off.
