She quickly got into the café, panting, as her eyes spotted him attending a customer. He saw her and smiled, as he nodded, indicating her that he would bring her order in some time. She nodded back, as she looked around the café and saw her usual place empty, as if it was always there, waiting for her to sit.
She let out a small sigh, as she sat down, taking out her books and a pen, deciding to make the remaining notes, while she waited for him to come. She glanced around and saw the café unusually crowded unlike the other days, making him busy as ever. It seemed to her as if his day was filled with events, just like her, not letting both of them even breathe freely.
He saw her engrossed in her work and not even lift her head up once to look out of the window. He sighed, as he kept her cup on the tray, and made his way towards her table.
"There you go." He said, as he kept the cup beside her books. She gave a quick nod, as she glanced up, passing a smile.
Soon, she completed her work, finishing her drink along with it. She stood up, as she put all her books back in her bag, getting ready to leave. She walked towards the counter, as she put her hand in her bag, trying to find her wallet. He saw her keep the bag on the counter, as she looking into it, horrified.
"I forgot to bring my wallet in hurry." She said, after muttering a few curses under her breath, causing him to burst into chuckles. "I'm so sorry- I'll just go back and bring the money-" She said, but before she could continue, he cut her off saying that as she was a regular customer, it was okay if she paid it later.
"You can just pay tomorrow. It's alright." He said, smiling at her. Her tensed figure relaxed, as she felt the weight getting lifted from her shoulders, relief filling into her. She thanked him profusely, as she promised that she would pay tomorrow.
