George gasped as his eyes scanned over the large hallowed out cavern, from the ground and dirt they had carved a city of stone, houses, and a big castle with 2 towers higher than the rest. The cavern was giant, bigger than anything George had ever seen. The air was fresh, and he could see the whole cavern was lit by glowing stones, and rocks. George went to go examine one of the glowing stones. His dad chuckled and laughed. Pointing to the top of the cavern, where a million stones blinked like stars, George sat down watching them letting out a sigh,

"it's so pretty," he whispered to Evermore, As Evermore laughed coming out,

"It's big" Evermore commented, flying up in the air, probably going to explore, George shrugged it off, and looked at his father, who was talking with Dream, who wore a grim expression. George decided not to interrupt, as they looked busy. He wandered down the path that led to the city and noticed paths that led everywhere around. For some reason, the surroundings felt familiar and comforting to him. He breathed in the air closing his eyes for a second.

Before walking into the city, the deeper he walked, the main street became bustling. As George saw many exotic Myths. Some of which he had never heard of or seen, Evermore finally came into view, George held his arm out, his forearm he often wore a leather sleeve, so Evermore wouldn't hurt him when landing, and wore a pad of the same material on his shoulder. Evermore gently perched on his forearm, and started vanishing into little strands of light, that wove their way into his mind. George sighed and smiled. He decided to go somewhere calming so he looked around for a person to ask. And noticed a couple walking together, the two looked awfully familiar and happy... almost like,

"Wilbur and Niki?!" George muttered before running over to the two, Wilbur and Niki noticed him and stopped,

"You guys made it out alive," George smiled, as Wilbur smiled and nodded,

"Everyone made it, but we did lose a few people who didn't want to leave." Wilbur said, grimly, George's smile faded, noticing the sadness in his eyes,

"Do you know a calming quiet place, good for reflecting?" George asked, figuring his other question he could ask later, Niki smiled and nodded pointing him in a direction

"There's a place with waterfalls, its really relaxing and its incredibly beautiful, you just head that way until you see the signs, it called Waterfalls, and it's pretty quiet. If you'd ignore the sounds," Niki explained, as George nodded and started walking that way. He knew his mother would be in calming, quiet places. As he walked, he mapped the place out. He was grabbed by his arm, and he let out a yelp, before whipping around, his eyes wide with fear. It was just Dream, he let out a sigh of relief.

"where are you going?" Dream asked, tilting his head.

"I was going to Waterfalls, I just needed some alone time," George stuttered nervously, Dream's hood was still up. A moment of silence passed before Dream said,

"I'll go with you," His voice was firm, but George didn't like that answer

"What part of Alone time, do you not get?" his voice had taken on a rude tone, he was annoyed this guy wouldn't leave him alone. "Leave me alone,"

"No, I can't, I need to make sure of something,"

Georges pov.

"Do it on your own time instead of intruding on someone else," I said walking on the way to the place Niki described, I heard footsteps behind me, I sighed, not really caring enough, or having the energy to yell or protest about his obsessive nature towards me.

Once I had made it I audibly gasped, it was beautiful and stunning. Little streams of water ending in waterfalls that flowed past. Just perfectly and beautifully. I walked through, trying to find a place to sit, it was quiet and calming, Niki wasn't wrong. Finally, I found a small rock in the middle of a stream and sat on it, jumping on stones that led there. Dream followed suite, I jumped to a slightly smaller rock and onto the rock I wanted to sit on, it gave a good view on everything else, and the dim blue lighting felt almost magical. Small lights danced in and out of existence. It was so beautiful, Dream sat on the rock next to mine, as I smiled slightly enjoying the view.

I started humming a small song my mom taught me, a soft one, the lyrics repeating in my head,

"If I were to meet my lover,

Would our love last forever?

Eternal piece of mind,

Would they finally be mine?

Oh, our Love being, Everlasting."

I softly sang, the words echoing slightly as I heard a few words repeating back, Dream broke the silence,

"That was beautiful," his voice was soft, but enough to tear me from my thoughts. i looked at him as he looked right back at me, his mask covering his expression, I pulled my hood up, hiding my face. I was blushing, my cheeks feeling hot, I never felt this way when my mom complimented me on my singing, so why now, I shrugged it off, and wandered back into my thoughts, what happened, eventually I felt tired, so I got up and motioned for Dream to start going back, For some reason feeling tired made it harder to focus, and when you're not able to focus. You tend to slip up. It all happened so fast, one moment jumping from rock to rock. The next the fear when my foot slipped, and the grip of hopelessness when I started to fall in, it took one moment for my body to splash in, but I heard a desperate voice calling,

"GEORGE!!"
