Chapter 82: For Olympus, Ever to Divinity

KASDEYA ARGYROS' Point of View

Tumayo ako mula sa lupa kahit na nanginginig pa rin ang mga binti ko. My body wouldn't have been able to take all of that beating, but the stars keep me going. I haven't passed out once ever since I started fighting her.

"Good work, Argyros." Napatingin ako sa lalaking nasa tabi ko. He's smirking at me with the usual light of amusement in his eyes, but I can see pride in them too.

The moonlight slices through his dull grey eyes. "I didn't think you had it in you."

I smirk back.  "I told you she's not a demigod."

"That's not the point."

Napairap ako sa hangin bago mapailing. Sana pala nakipagpustahan ako sakaniya para naman may napanalunan ako.

I'm right and he's wrong. I just proved a son of Athena that he's not right for once. I can't wait to rub this in his face even more. Siguradong pag sinabi ko ito kay Paris at River ay magugulat yung dalawang yun.

But before I do that, I have a job to finish first. This monster isn't going to kill herself.

A shaky breath leaves my lips along with a cloud of white mist. Humarap ako kay Theon ngunit ang mga mata ko ay nakatingin sa halimaw na masama ang tingin sa aming Hellenes.

Pumito si Titus. "That's a big... guy. Or whatever that is." Ngiwi niya.

"We have to kill it here now, and we need to be fast." Saad ko sa aking katabi. "This thing is nothing like the other monsters we've fought before. We don't know it or what it can do, but it's still a child of Gaea."

Tumango si Theon, nagseseryoso na. "It might not be a demigod, but that makes it worse for us. It's more troublesome to get rid of a monster than a human being."

He's right. This monster is a creation of Gaea, and we're placed at a bigger disadvantage because we've never seen this before, kaya mangangapa pa kami kung paano siya kalabanin. We have to give it our all if we want to get rid of it and still come out alive.

In simpler words, we're fucked.

We're going to need some kind of saving grace to tip the balance between us and the monster.

Lumingon ako sa direksyon ni Theon. I catch him staring at me, his gaze solid and menacing against my bright ones. He gives me one silent nod, and I immediately understand what he means.

Bumalik sa halimaw ang tingin ko.

"Everyone, listen up!" Kuha ko sa atensyon ng lahat bago maglakad palapit sa halimaw na naguguluhan pa rin sa biglaang pagsulpot ng iba. "You saw her patterns, techniques, and how she fights. You observed her weak spot."

Huminga ako ng malalim. "We're going to need a plan."

I turn to look at all of them. Puno ng determinasyon ang kanilang mga mukha habang nakatingin sa akin. They're ready to fight and win the battle.

"We won't be able to defeat her without working together," Napangisi ako. "So if you want to survive, you're going to fight a monster while keeping each other alive."
