As soon as he saw his house, he took note of the fact that his mother was at the door. She saw him, and ran over to him as she hugged him tightly "Oh Ash. I heard what happened from your friend Gary and... I'm just glad you're alright" she said and Ash sighed deeply, seems that Gary had told his mother about their 'little encounter'

"I'm fine mom, nothing to worry about" he said and saw his mother look at him with disbelief, but smiled nonetheless as the two entered the house "I'm going to go up to my room" he said as he walked up the stairs and closed the door to his room. Ash took of his shoes, threw his backpack (that had survived the whole ordeal) and walked over towards his bed and he laid down thinking over what had happened and how he had done the things he did

He brought his hands up and turned them around as he examined them for any evidence of what happened in that alleyway "How did I do all that?" he asked himself, dropping his hands down again and sighed. He got out of his bed and walked over to the window in his room as he opened it and stared at the sunset outside

Ash kept staring at it until he heard his mother calling him for dinner. He sighed and decided to stop thinking about these things as he went back downstairs, but the entire time his thoughts kept coming back to the alleyway and what he had done

The next day, Ash got up from his bed and stretched his arms. He looked over at the clock and saw he had plenty of time before school started. Ash then remembered everything that happened yesterday and sighed again while he made his way over towards the bathroom.

As soon as he saw his reflection, he noticed something that made him fall on the ground. Ash slowly got back up and saw that his eyes were no longer their auburn colour. Instead what he saw made him back up a step or two, as he saw that his eyes were now a light blue and seemed to have a glow in them at the same time. He slowly brought one of his hands towards the mirror to make sure it was him and recoiled back when he saw that it was him. Ash then started shaking his head and turned on the sink as he threw water onto his face. When he looked at the mirror again, he saw that his eyes were back to their brown colour again, much to his confusion and shock

Still shocked by what had just happened, he slowly went back into his room and got dressed in his regular clothes. He put on gray capri shorts, with dark blue sneakers, then grabbed his black T-shirt and soon put on his light-blue and white jacket with a large red collar over his shirt. He zipped it up and grabbed his bag as he made his way down into the kitchen

He saw his mother already downstairs and once she saw him, she set a plate with pancakes on the table. Ash walked over towards the table and ate the pancakes in front of him. He still kept thinking about what happened yesterday as well as what caused the change in eye colour too. He was so caught up in his thoughts he couldn't hear his mom shouting his name. He did however feel her emotions, which caused him to snap out of his thoughts and looked scared for a second. He left the house soon after afraid that he might do something like yesterday and as he left he could feel his mom's confusion at his actions

As soon as he got to school, he tried to calm himself down. He didn't want a repeat of yesterday to happen here at school... especially with lots of people who knew him. He slowly entered Viridian High and made his way towards his locker. While he was putting his stuff out of his locker he heard his name being called

"ASH!" a girl's voice screamed as she slammed into Ash and hugged him tightly, scared that if she let go he would disappear

"Dawn, I think you're going to have to let him go. He can hardly breathe it seems" said the brown haired boy as Dawn blushed in embarrassment and let go of the raven haired teen
