IKRAM POV

"Who is in danger?" We heard Imen's voice through the door and we froze on our spot. Amanda quickly wiped her tears with the back of her palm and laid down on the bed while I turned to look towards the door as imen walked in.

" What are you guys discussing?" She asked as she came in with a smile plastered on her face.

" We are discussing this nickelodeon series "Henry danger," I said with a fake smile plastered on my face.

" Oh, I thought as much. I forgot my folder and I need it today " She said as she walked up to her drawer to pick it and I heave a sigh of relief that we are not caught.

" I should get going now," She said as she picked the folder and head towards the door. She stopped when she was about to open the door and said:" Amanda, are you sure you are okay?" She asked with concern written all over her face.

" I am, I just need some rest but Ikram won't allow me to sleep," She said jokingly feigning a smile.

Ok, then. See you guys soon. My mom and dad should be back by then and thankfully the paramedics snapped Amanda when she was covered with that bruises so that's evidence to tender in the court. I know you guys might think I act like nothing happened this weekend but trust me, I am just trying to get through it. I can't believe Norbert could be the abuser and I can't believe you Amanda would lie about something like that to us. You know I don't get how Norbert and you are connected. Why do you have to keep something like that from us and you know he invited me for a friendship date. Do you want him to also hurt me or is this a plan work between you two?  " Imen asked sounding confused.

" No, Imen. I wouldn't do that " Amanda said and shook her head negatively as she sits upright on the bed.

" Then why is he torturing you? I don't just get it. You know I have been trying to think about everything but it was just so confusing every time I tried to put all the pieces together. How do you guys meet? Is he the one you gave your virginity too? why is he torturing you? Why do you keep it from us? Why is Norbert so nice to me and wanted to be my friend? If he is my friend abuser then why did he say he is in love with me? " I am confused Amanda she said angrily.

It still feels so surreal, I want him to rot in prison for all he had done to you before I come back to you. I am giving you time to start preparing yourself because you are going to explain everything to me. You know I have always thought we are friends and we don't keep secrets from each other but you..... " She heaves a sigh and cuts her word short.  We will talk better when am back. Bye guys "  She said and walked out.

When am sure Imen already left for the lecture, I turned to look at Amanda and said:" She is going to be so mad at you if she later gets to know everything she thinks she knows was all a lie. How do you want her to feel if she later gets to know her brother was the one behind all this mystery? Have you thought about how hurt she is going to be ?".

" I know,  but what should I do ?" He already threatened to kill my mom if I tell Imen the truth. You are not also safe if he gets to know I told you about him. Do you think I have not been thinking about how this will hurt Imen? I have, trust me " She said crying.

" You know what, let's take it one step at a time. Why was he kicking you outside like that? " I asked her.

" He wants me to tell the cops that Norbert is the abuser ?" She said as tears streamed down her face.

" What, is he insane ?" I said angrily.

" Then why is he torturing you? " I asked her again.

" He doesn't want me to tell imen that ... he.. is. " She said stammering in between tears.
