My ragged breathing quickened when I heard the footsteps behind me grow louder. The farther I went into the night, the more groaning I heard from the trees around me. The shining moon above me scared me. How far was the Shrieking Shack from here? How long have I been running? 'No. No. Rey, keep running. Don't. Stop.' I told myself. "There's no use in hiding, werewolf. I can already see your hands transforming! Just come clean that you've hurt the students here!" The voice yelled. I stayed silent, and ran harder. 'What the fuck. What the fuck?! Why is this person chasing me? I never told anyone about me!' I tripped, and covered my yelp with my hand. The Womping Willow in sight, I got up and bolted towards the tree. It became motionless as I slipped inside the hole beneath its roots, then started moving once again after I ran far enough inside the tunnel. "Shit!" I heard the person curse, "Get back here you ugly dog!" Up the steps, I chained myself up to the bed, waiting for the full moon to rise high enough. Waiting for the pain to come.

It was inevitable. The bite, I mean. Bound to happen, nothing I could do. It's fine. I'm used to people treating me this way. I can survive.
