Chapter Ten, Blaise's Birthday

For the past few weeks Mia has been working hard to put together something nice for Blaise's birthday that was fast approaching. In the end she had booked a booth at The Scarlet Swan for the five of them and ordered some nice suits for them all as a treat, along with a sexy black dress for herself, (Chantelle brought it), that showed off her slight baby bump. So far, the day had passed exactly as Mia and the others had planned. The morning of October 1st, they started it off by breakfast in bed, along with presents for Blaise. Then, they had a walk along the beach and through the gardens that Mia had added more flowers to; followed by an afternoon style picnic in the garden for lunch.
"This has been the best birthday. Thank you, Amore mio." Blaise said happily, kissing Mia's temple lovingly, the watch Mia had gifted him sat on his wrist.

"It's not over yet." André said, entering the smaller living room with a tray of teas for them all.
"What do you mean? I have everything I need or want right here?" Blaise asked, confused.
"Our sweet little mate worked her butt off and we have booked a booth for us all at The Scarlett Swan at eight so I suggest, once we've drunk our teas, we all go get ready." Damon suggested, thanking André for the tea as he accepted his cup. Mia having hers handed to her first.
"How're you feeling now, love?" Fred asked concerned, knowing how bad the morning sickness hit her this morning and how distraught she was over it thinking she'd ruined Blaise's birthday.
"I'm okay. It's wearing off now and the tea is helping." Mia replied, sipping at her tea as she snuggled into Blaise and Fred while Damon and André sat opposite them.

"That's good." André said with relief, coating his tone. "You stay and relax with Blaise while the three of us get ready and then you two get ready." André added, kissing Mia lovingly on the lips, followed by Damon and Fred.
"You didn't need to stress so much about my birthday. I don't want you to cause yourself or the babies stress, but thank you." Blaise said, kissing her forehead and running his fingers through her hair.
"I wanted it to be special as it's your first birthday with us." Mia replied, pecking the underside of his jaw.
"It would be special no matter what we do." Blaise assured, kissing her softly.

Once they were all dressed and ready to go they grasped hands and shadowed towards the plaza where the restaurant was located. Mia was dressed in a black v-neck dress that had a slit up the side, black heels, diamond studded earrings and a diamond necklace. She had her hair in a half up, half down style, natural makeup and red lipstick. André wore blue trousers, a white shirt, a beige jacket and beige loafers. Fred wore clothing similar to André but he had a light blue shirt, a tan jacket and darker brown shoes. Damon wore blue jeans, a white shirt, a blue jacket and chocolate brown loafers. And finally, Blaise wore tan trousers, a white shirt and white loafers.

After checking in they were seen to their table where the men had the finest Elven wine and Mia had a glass of Butterbeer; before they had a three course meal. It was a relaxing birthday and evening for all of them as they all enjoyed themselves. If this was an insight to what the rest of their lives together will look like then they would be very happy indeed. As for Mia; for the first time she wasn't depressed with grief but instead had a wide smile on her face as she laughed happily, one hand covering her small bump.
