Butterscotch hunger tones slide down my cobweb coated throat
Daddy spoke in sour tongues "eat or you'll starve"
Mama would laugh in her bitter silenced pain "why do you want to be skinny?"
Neptune's cold ring of victims heated by the sun herself
Sashes of stuttering words, afraid to be owned and spoken
Lack of motion from my scaled lips, no one understands
Why I don't feel beautiful in my skin
Do you understand all these chick flicks
The guy falls for the pretty girl into sports
flashy cars and video games
because its cool to be like them
but if they like something feminine
Its a misshapen house, strange
so the layers of my throat remain stiff
because I'm no bubbly housewife
