Chapter 3

Keefe's POV:

When we won the game, Linh went over to hug Tam and Biana went over to Fitz then me, and hugged us both for winning. We haven't won in weeks! Almost months! Sophie came over to congratulate me and since I guess I was in such a happy mood I kissed her so that Fitz, Biana, Linh, Dex, and Tam would notice and officially make sure they knew we were together. Biana looked terrified. UGH! She's liked me since I started hanging out with them. She's always doing flirty weird stuff and that's not my type. Like foster doesn't answer to my beck and call! She's her own person who's willing to defend herself and cares about everyone and-wait why am I talking about this...Stop it Keefe! That was when Sophie pushed her hand telling me to stop so I did. I told her about our low winning streak and how she must be good luck. She kept looking around like she was worried someone was gonna say something about the kiss but everyone seemed too shocked. So I said

"Hey! Why don't we all go out to pizza to celebrate our team win!" Everyone seemed to agree except Sophie. She looked unsure about being stuck at a table with all of them laughing and joking and everything else but nodded anyway. Everybody walked to their cars and when Sophie got in and I started the car she asked 

"Um......why did you kiss me?" 

"What do you mean? we're supposed to be 'dating' and how is anyone gonna guess that if I don't kiss you?"

"I don't know...but I'm not comfortable with that..." I smirked

"Then why did you kiss me back?"

"Because I didn't wanna embarrass you by pulling away stupid!" 

Oh.

"Okay...well um.." I didn't really say anything after that and neither did she. There was an uncomfortable feeling in the air so I turned on some music and the song "the night we met" By Lord Huron came on. Just great. Although the song was Ironic, it was somewhat calming. I could tell Sophie thought so too because her expression softened and she started lightly humming to the song, so I left it on. 

The song played for the whole drive since the pizza place was only a few streets away. by the time the song ended, I was pulling into the driveway. I could tell Sophie really didn't wanna go in so I went into my glove box and pulled out a book. She looked at me confused and I told her 

"I remembered how much you loved this book. I always see you reading it at school so I thought I would read it to see what you loved about it so much. But I never really got around to reading it. And I know how much you're dreading talking to everyone, so I figured..."

Shesmiled at Me and then gave me a hug.

"Thank you, Keefe. I know the girl you're trying to impress probably won't like reading but the fact that your noticing what other people like is good." I gave her a sad smile. She just didn't get it.

Heyyyyyy!!!!!!! I'm back! I don't know If I'll be able to write often for family reasons and I'M SORRY!!!!! I'll write chapters in my comments if I need to! But I'll figure it out I promise! So here's a short chapter while I'm able!
