Clark and Lexa: A Love Story

Honeymoon Over?

Clarke and Lexa are both startled awake when they hear loud banging and yelling from outside their "honeymoon suite". They both want to spring into action but realize they are both completely naked and would need to make themselves look respectable before walking out the door. So they both get up and try to find some clean clothes and they put them on and open the door right before Lincoln has time to knock on it. Lexa asks.

"What is all the noise and loud voices about? I thought we were now in a time of peace?" Lincoln replies

"When we woke up this morning we found this giant glowing circle in the middle of the camp. When we sent some to walk up and see what it was they were sucked thru and it closed up until just now when it opened up again. Miller came through and looked completely different and said he had been sent to somewhere that looked like earth before the bombs, like he had seen in all of his earth skills classes. So  was a stampede of people wanting to check it out and Markus and Abby had set up a blockade so no one else could go through until they found out what it was, where it came from and what the dangers are. We were trying to not disturb you both since you had just got married and you go from one problem to the next. Everyone started getting loud and angry and said they wanted to go to this "old earth". So that is what awoke both of you. Clarke says

"Assemble all of the leaders and we are going to sit down and discuss what we want to do about this portal and who are of anyone sent to check out" Lincoln nods his head and turns around and heads to get Abby and Marcus and the clan leaders for this meeting. Clarke then turns to Lexa and says

"I guess that is the end of our honeymoon?" Lexa looks at her questionly still standing in the doorway.

"Why does this have to be the end of it so soon. Why can't we just check it out ourselves and Gustus go through this portal and check it out ourselves?" Clarke asks

"Why would we bring Gustus with us. If we want it to be our honeymoon, get away? We can both take care of ourselves so it is like we don't need a bodyguard. Then it Dawns on Clarke. He is our backup if we run into anything unsavory. We got him to help out." Lexa nods her head then starts to head down the hallway to the meeting room and Clarke follows making sure to shut the door behind her.

They arrive In the meeting room and it is so loud with everyone talking over everyone until the leaders of the Grounders and Lexa walk in and they fall silent. Lexa speaks up and says

"So why are we all rushing to go into this portal to somewhere else all at once when we don't have any information about this place. As to the people there, what the state of their world is, how they are to outsiders, and why they decided to show up twice in the same spot of our camp." Abby stands

" We were thinking of sending a exporlary group to check out the surroundings and then report back and we go from there. We wouldn't let everyone go at once because we don't know the limit of the portal or if it drops you in the same location each time you go through." Clarke asks

"How are we going to keep track of these people you send thru and communicate with them because we don't know if our Communication will work once they cross thru?." Marcus replies

"I guess we are going to have to have a little faith and this crew is going to be volunteer based since we don't know what they will face."

Lexa says

"I think on the first mission it should be me, Clarke, Gustus, Murphy because he can adapt to anything and Miller since he has already traveled through and can help us once we get to the other side. We don't want to just trust random people to go through and trust they will report back. With this team you know you will get the proper results and we will be able to handle whatever comes our way. Abby stands up and says

"Okay I will get Miller and Murphy and meet you at the portal in fifteen minutes." They all disperse and Gustus walks up to Lexa and gives her a giant hug and she knows that means that he is happy she chose him to be by her side.

They are all at the portal fifteen minutes later with backpacks all on and a rope tied to each one of them. Miller says

"We should all hold hands and walk thru the portal together so we don't get separated. After you cross thru you might be disoriented from the crossing but when we get to the otherside we will take a breather and gather ourselves to proceed to why we were sent." They all nod and link hands and walk thru the portal and it takes them in pairs and shoots them out in a field that looks like a spring day and they all pass out in the field.
