Ever since they were little Osamu wanted the attention Atsumu got and Atsumu wanted people to view him as the better twin. Yet none of them could get what they wanted and that created a strain, in their relationship. When Osamu meet Suna it was simple no complications and he learned to fix that stain because he was sure that even if Atsumu had all the eyes on him at least one person had their eyes on him. 

Atsumu wanted nothing more than to make his brother happy as he always told him I have 3 priorities 1 is me 2 is volleyball 3 mom and dad but 0 is you. So when Osamu and Suna fell in love, Atsumu grew worried and started to act differently he acted in whatever way it made his brother stay a little longer, even if that meant getting a few bruises at least he was there. 

When Osamu told Atsumu he didn't want to go pro Atsumu snapped it was a big fight it took him a while to recover but eventually he came to terms and wished Osamu the best of luck. In the MSBY Atsumu was nervous and felt a bit out of place but soon warmed up. He fell in love and gained greater friends and although he always called Osamu it was as if they grew apart from him and eventually only started talking to Atsumu once a week. It was hard but with his new team it became easier that was until Osamu started laughing with Suna it started to feel like he crossed the teaing line and fell into the bullying line but Atsumu loved his brother so he kept quiet.

A: Are you here to talk or tease me more?

O: What do you think

Osamu's voice was dead but you could see a but of worry in his eyes. Suna and Sakusa just stood there listening to the conversation and promised to intervene if it was necessary, never the less Sakusa had his hand tightly gripped with Atsumu just in case. 

A: I think that I love you, that you are my priority 0, that you are my brother yet these last few months your just my brother, not my family

O: Why would you think that we talk all the time and I send you food so why do you think that

Atsumu's grip on Sakusa tightened and his eyes started to tear up just a bit 

A: That's not true and you know it, you call me once a week for 20 minutes and I get that you are tired but when we talked about the future you said we would still stay together, have...have  

O: Have I what Tsumu? 

Osamu's voice quivered at the end and tears threaten to spill from his eyes 

A: Have you grown tired of me?

It was silent for a moment Sakusa started rubbing Atsumu's hand as a sign of comfort  

O: No I am just tired and occupied I still love you the same 

A: You know I saw a quote it said something like to be able to grow we sometimes have to separate because eventually, we will have to come back

Tears spilled from Osamu's eyes and his voice was trembling, Suna held his hand and rubbed circles on his back 

O: What are you...what are you saying

A: I am saying I need time, I love you trust me but I can't continue to hurt because of you so please give me space you will know when I am ready 

Osamu didn't expect that he was shocked but deep down he knew this was the right thing to do 

O: Okay...okay we are twins when your ready just use our twin telepathy 

A small chuckle fell from Atsumu's lips 

A: I will don't worry 

With I final hug and an I love you they parted ways maybe not in the best way but deep down both knew this was going to be okay.
