Sabrina POV

I hide after I saw one of the guys turning around. I hope they didn't see me. I hope it wasn't Bradley. He is so cute. I see Rowan come from down the hall.

"Ok, so let's talk-" she pauses and sees that I'm hiding. I point out the window. She looks out and smiles.

"Who are you crushing on?" she asks me. I was about to say something when she interupted me, "Wait! Let me guess." She thinks for a second (litteraly) and then smiles. "Bradley?" she asks. I nod. She squeals.

"Was it that obvious?" I ask. She nods. I put my hands over my face and slide down the wall. She comes and sits beside me. I take my hands off my face and look at her.

"Well, it wasn't that obvious," she says. "But I can tell when someone is crushing."

"Do you think he knows?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"Probably not, he is pretty oblivious to these types of things," Rowan says. I sigh in realif. "But, you might want to watch out," she continues. I look at her worried.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because, one of my other friends, Mack, likes him too. It's short for Mackenzie," Rowan says. Great. Just my luck. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. Just don't tell anyone else unless you actually start dating him," Rowan tells me. I nod. I then hear footsteps coming downstairs.

"Sabrina, are you back so soon?" Caili says then sees me and Rowan on the ground. "Is everything alright?" Caili asks. Rowan and I get up.

"Yep, we're just talking about boys," Rowan says.

"Already?" Caili asks me. I nod with a smile thinking about Bradley. There was awkward silence.

"Caili this is my old friend Rowan. Rowan this is Caili," I said. I don't know what to call her. She's not my mom, she's my foster mom. But is that offensive to her? It doesn't matter. They shook hands and said hi to each other.

"Is it ok if she stays over for dinner?" I ask. Caili smiles.

"Sure, I'm making homemade hamburgers and fries," Cail said leaving to the kitchen.

"Caili, we'll be in my room," I yell.

"Ok." Rowan and I head up to my temporary room.

"This is your room?" Rowan asks a little bit disgusted.

"No, it's my temporary room. Just until Caili finishes painting my room and putting in the furniture," I explain. Rowan sits on the bean bag chair while I lie down on my stomach on the bed.

"So, do you have a crush on anyone?" I ask. She doesn't answer. Only smiles.

"Who is he?" I ask.

"This guy that's new in my acting class," Rowan says.

"Cool, you have a picture of him?" I ask.

"Damn! No I don't," she says upset. It was awkward silence for a while.

"So, what do you do in your spare time?" Rowan asks. I smile and look at my case. I get up and bring my case to the bed. I open it and take out my pink guitar and music sheets. I look at Rowan and she looks interested. I look at the page and start to play my guitar and sing.

"Tired of all the troubles they've been wasting my time, I don't wanna fight gonna leave it behind, taking on faith now I'm ready to fly, I'm in the middle of starting over," I sing. Rowan's mouth drops. I smile a little.

"Oh My God! You're amazing! How are you not a professinal singer?" she asks me. I shake my head and put my guitar on my bed beside me.

"No,no,no,no,no. I am not a singer. I don't do well infront of people I don't know and trust," I say.

"You need to get over that because you're amazing! Did you write that song?"

"Yah, but that's all I've got. I'm still writting."

"Well, when you're done, I want to hear it," Rowan says. I smile and nod.

"Sure," I say. It was awkward silence between us for a while. Then Rowan looked like she remembered something.

"Oh, hey. Bri, are you busy from the 13-14? I know it's only 2 days away but I'm wondering," Rowan asked.

"This weekend?" I ask. She nods. "I don't think so, why?"

"Because I'm having a party with all my friends, then I'm having a sleepover right after with all the girls. You wanna come?" Rowan asked. This is my first party. EVER.

"Yah sure if Caili will let me," I answer.

"Go ask," Rowan says. We head downstairs to see Caili barbequing the burgers.

"Caili, can I go to Rowan's for a sleepover this weekend?" I ask. She nods.

"Sure, you'll have more of a chance to get to know them outside of school," Caili says.

"Aw that's right. I have school tomorrow. Great," I say.

"What?" Rowan asks.

"It's just I will be the new kid and I've never been good at making friends inside school," I explain.

"Oh, well where are you going to school?" Rowan asks. I look at Caili not knowing my own school. I've been 16 different schools. Tomorrow will be number 17. And every time I make an enemy on the first day.

"Silver Lake Fine Arts High School," Caili answers.

"Why would you enroll me there?" I ask.

"Because Catherine says that you love to play your guitar, so I thought this might be nice for you," Caili says. Hmm, I never thought of an arts school.

"Hey that's where my friends and I go," Rowan says.

"Well, at least I will know a few people," I say. I look over at Caili. She has everything ready on a plate.

"Dinner's ready!" Caili says.
