Y/N POV

Y/N: I prayed...that we'll alway be together...forever.

Calli: (smiles) We will always be together tho...

Y/N: What do you mean?

Calli puts her fingers on my chest.

Calli: A part of my soul...is with you. So we will truly never be apart, Y/N.

Y/N: (smiles) You're right, Calli.

I grasped her hand between my hands.

Y/N: But you know that's not what I meant.

Calli: I know...I was just joking.

I turned and looked at the fireworks in the sky.

Y/N: Something good came out of being hit by the car...I got to meet you and the rest of Holomyth...andI have to say thanks. I would be dead if you haven't saved me that day. When I was younger...before my soul was damaged and you found me...I was a child with a very weak immune system and I would get sick a lot. But...when you repaired my soul with yours...I would never get sick, and my immune system got stronger...and I think the part of your soul that is fused with mine...has something to do with it,

Calli: Y/N-

Y/N: All the time I spent time with you and Holomyth...were so much fun!

I turned around and smiled at her.

Calli: I was going to take your soul that day...if it wasn't damaged...

Y/N: I know...Calli?

Calli: Huh?

Y/N: I saw you...when I was injured on the floor. But I was conscious. I saw everything you were doing...but I didn't have the strength to get up and confront you about it.

Calli: But I'm glad I didn't take your soul. If I did, I wouldn't be able to spend all this time with you now...

I turned to her and smiled.

Y/N: I'm happy too.

A couple of days passed and I back at school with Rika and Riko.

Calli POV

I was staring off in the distance towards the sun and sighed.

Amelia: What are you doing out here?

Calli: Just thinking.

Amelia: Just thinking?

Calli: Yes.

Amelia: What are you hiding, Calli?

Calli: Who says I'm hiding something?

Ame: I know you, Calli.

Calli: (sigh)

I grabbed my chest.

Calli: When I fused my soul with Y/N, my life is intertwined with his. I'm saying that when Y/N dies, I will too.

Ame. Huh?

Calli: Usually, Grim reapers live forever...until the end of time. But when Grim reapers find someone they're emotionally attached to, like I do with Y/N, their life ends with the human they fuse their soul with.

Ame: That's why you've been so quiet...

I just simply nodded.

Calli: This has happened throughout history. Grim reapers find humans, become attached to them, and die when they die. Sometimes Grim reapers even become tired of this infinite life, and seek to find humans to become attach to only to die when they die.

Ame: Are you one...of those grim reapers?

Calli: Huh? No. I never thought of my life as suffering or torture.

Ame: Have you told Y/N all this?

Calli:...No. He doesn't know any of this.

Ame: You should tell him eventually. He deserves to know.

Calli: I don't know how to tell him.

Ame: Calli...this brings me back to my point...that all living things die eventually. Not even grim reapers can avoid death.

After saying that she just walked off.

Calli: Nothing escapes death...grim reapers can't avoid it...You're right, Ame...you're right...
