The sweet smell of fresh lemon engulfed the entire kitchen, as you continued to mop the floors aggressively, making sure to get every single nook and cranny. Your back muscles were on fire from all of the deep cleaning you had been subjected to, but in all reality, you didn't mind.In a way, it satisfied you, almost therapeutic even. You were really proud of the sparklingly clean home before you. It took about 2 hours to complete, but it was definitely worth it.
You had just had enough time to get them ready for bed... well Reiko, atleast. Reiki claimed that he didn't need your help because 'he's not a baby.'
You took down Reiko's pigtailed braids, carefully combing out the knots in her beautiful, long brown hair. You could tell that her father had attempted to style it, and in all intensive purposes it was a nice try, but his lack of braiding skills left behind a frizzy mess.
You chuckled, finally returning her hair into its smoothly straight state. You pulled it back into one long, neat braid so that it would stay dormant while she slept. She looked in the mirror, beaming at how pretty she looked.
"My hair looks so pretty! Thank you so much (Y/n)!" She squeals, wrapping her arms around your neck. It had been a while since she had the company of another girl in her home, being stuck in the house with her brother, father and her uncles from time to time.
