Paris, France.

I always wasinterested in languages and dialects, specificaly korean. I lived inBusan from 2008 to 2010 learning the language from the street and thepoeple itself. Coming back to France after that, a friend of minewho's comedian specialised in dubbing, found me that translationjob, and I started doing it frenquently, but I quickly realise thatit will not be my only job because there is no many korean moviesreleased in a year, so I started to translate also books, documentaries, technical manual and sometimes I do direct traductionvocaly. But as time goes on, my principal way to gain money is toteach, french, english and of course korean for particular lesson. Imade a website for that, explaining everything.

One day I got aemail from a young woman named Jennie Kim, a 25 years old korean, living in France from five week now but willing to learn french asfast as possible. I told her that at least it would take 5 or 6 mouthto be able to speak in a fluent french. She said it was ok for her asher mother would pay everything since she heard that I was one thebest for teaching to korean people. I recieved an advance of 2500€,half of the price, the rest would be payed in 6 mouth when Jenniewill be fluent in french.

The lesson wouldtake place at her appartment and so we met every Saturday from 4 pmto 6 pm.

Time skip.

Two mouth havepass and I'm a little embarassed. Jennie was discribed by hermother as a genius of language, as she learned english easily and sheknows japanese very well to.

But french givesher more difficulties. She's specially struggling with theacordances and times. And it's complicated for her to pronounce the „H" in french as this letter is most of the time silent.

La ‚hache coupe le bois.

No Jennie, la hache pas la ‚hache. You still prononce it like the english. Did you do the exercices I gave you last week?

I'm sorry Mr Y/LN I was bussy. As you know my mother is giving me more and more responsabilities as I will be CEO of the french office of her company.

I know you have a lot of pressure, but remember that it's because of this future job that you will be in need to speak a good french, at least for your credibility.

You're right.

Just focus on the present moment and don't think to much. Come on read again.

She wasstruggling a little less, but was hitting the words cutting them insylabs.

Don't cut that much. Try to be more fluid.

She tried herbest, she was having a hard time.

Are you ok Jennie?

She startedcrying.

Hey what's wrong? There's no need to cry.

She looked atme.

It's just that I never had such difficulties to learn something.

I know you always were a good student, your mother told me. But believe me you will be good at french to it's just a question of time.

Thank, Mr Y/LN.

Call me Y/N. We don't have to be that formal. You can even call oppa.
