Kemono was currently sitting at a table in a café, alone. He was wearing a nice black hoodie and some black jeans with white trainers, just for the sake of clashing with the black.
Soon enough the woman Kemono was supposed to meeting there walked in, wearing a white hoodie and leggings with black shoes and spotted Kemono, she walked over and said hi, asking if he was Kemono. After introductions were out of the way, Aisuru sat down, ordering a cappuccino.
Kemono and Aisuru sat in an awkward silence, before it was broken by Kemono asking a question.
Kemono: "Ya like jazz?" He asked in a weird voice, reciting the small line from the Bee Movie.
Aisuru: "Uhh... It's alright I guess. What do you think about dogs?"
Kemono: "They're loud... but amazing company." He said.
Aisuru: "Well... do you like video games?" She asked.
Kemono: "Yes. Yes I do. Do you?" He asked.
Aisuru: "Well, yeah. I have a PS5 at home and an Xbox Series X on its way for my two boys." She said, taking a sip of her cappuccino. "Aren't you going to get a drink?" She asked.
Kemono: "Nah, I never really liked coffee, it smells a bad and I can't stand how it tastes." He said.
Aisuru: "You have quite the nerve to say that in a café." She chuckled. "C'mon, let's get to a place where you can say shit like that without risking your neck." She downed the rest of the cappuccino and left the money on the table, before grabbing Kemono's arm and practically dragging him out of the café and to the park.
The two sat down in the fields, already being mistaken for a couple by passersby.
Kemono: "So... What's your favourite video game?" He asked.
Aisuru: "I... Never really thought about it. It really depends on which genre. Like if it was an RPG, then I'd say The Witcher Three, Wild Hunt. For First Person shooters, I'd pick Call of Duty or Battlefield." She explained. "What about you? What's your favourite game? Wait... What's your favourite RPG?"
Kemono: "Well... I have to say, The Elder Scrolls Five: Skyrim." [Guys, this is my favourite game, pls don't judge me for it.]
Aisuru: "A great game... A little dated now, but still good." She said, brushing a little bit of hair from her right eye.
Kemono couldn't help but think that this girl was incredibly attractive, not only does she have great hair, amazing eyes that you could easily get lost in without a map, an amazing taste in interests(in his opinion), and an incredible laugh.
Kemono: 'No (Y/N).' He said, mentally slapping himself, while using his original birth name. 'You basically JUST MET HER! Stop falling for her! You aren't ready for someone like that. Besides, she herself isn't ready for someone.' He scolded himself, while remembering his Betty... He didn't realise his eyes had started to leak tears.
Aisuru: "Are you okay?" She asked. Kemono whipped his head around to look into the girl's raven coloured eyes. "You're crying. Is something wrong?" She asked.
Kemono: "Oh, uhm, no... I'm just stressed out, and I remembered something I'd rather not recall." He said, wiping away the tears.
Aisuru just sat there, looking at Kemono sympathetically. She moved a bit closer to Kemono and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Aisuru: "Kemono, tell me what's bothering you." She said with a concerned look.
Kemono: "I'm not sure you want to be burdened with it." He said turning away slightly.
