Why Me Alpha?

Chapter 1

"Alexa, you'll be late for school honey!!"

Alexa's mother hollered up the stairs trying wake her sleeping daughter. After five minutes of hearing no response her mother looked over at the young man sitting at her table.

"Chance, I guess you'd better try to get her up. She may listen to you"

Chance smiled cheekily and run upstairs to her bedroom. His breath caught in his throat as he saw her lie there, it broke his heart to have to wake her. She was an angel. But she was an angel that had to get to school. He slowly walked over to her bed and started softly stroking her hair

"Come my love, its time."

Alexa slowly opened her eyes growling.

"I hate all of you" with that she jumped out of bed knocking Chance over. He started laughing and walked up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist nuzzling her neck. He loved her. No doubt about it. The only troubling part is they weren't mates, at any given time she could find hers and he find his, where would they be then? He quickly pushed the troubling thoughts out of his mind, he wouldn't think of that day. Instead he'd remain focused on the reality they were in currently where Alexa was his. A gruff shrug of her shoulders pulled him out of his thoughts.

"You gotta let go and get off so I can change" Alexa said gruffly tussling his hair. Chance sighed "Fine Lex, but you better hurry" then he took his leave. Alexa ran to her closet pulled on some dark skinny jeans, a black tube top and a pair of black heels. She ran a hair brush through her hair, grabbed her purse and then ran to meet Chance in the car. Once in the car she began to do her make up. Chance pouted slightly

"Lex, why do you color on your face?"

"Because this "Coloring" as you put it makes me look good."

"Don't you know you don't need any of that? Your perfect."

"Gosh that was the most cliché thing I've ever heard" Alexa said playfully slapping his shoulder. She looked up and saw he was parking the car. She sadly shook her head in disbelief how fast the ride was. She got her back pack and walked inside.

Once inside she went to her locker, got her books and hurried to her first class: Math.

She shuddered, she dreaded the thought of math class, it was her own personal little hell.

"Please." She heard a voice whisper in her head. Alexa hissed, it was a voice that she hasn't heard in forever.

"Must. Run. Must get out. Please" Her wolf kept desperately trying to convince Alexa to let her out. It was against pack rules to shift unless being given special reasons to. But Alexa had never listened. She'd always shifted after the ban was put up. The last time though she almost got caught so she decided to wait a while. It had been almost three months. That was a while..wasn't it?

"Earth to Ms Matthews!" Her math teacher snapped. Alexa looked up seeing the question she was supposed to answer and then looked back at her balding teacher with yellow teeth.

"Sorry Mr. Jackson, but I'm sick. May I go to the nurse?" Alexa smiled as the teacher glared at her muttering something about her being a "Dirty liar" but with a sharp jerk of his hand he dismissed her. She left class and bolted straight for the door.

"What's the rush sweetheart?" Alexa gasped.

"Jonah."

"That's my name don't wear it out. So where are you off to?"

"Go to hell. And get out of my way"

"Now now kitten, is that anyway to talk to your future mate." Jonah asked slowly coming towards her. He backed her into the locker and started slowly trailing kissing down her neck his hand rubbing her thigh. "Sweetheart, I'm going to mark you." At those words Alexa felt his canines over the spot where he would do it and she flipped out. Her wolf over powered her. Alexa phased into a beautiful black wolf with sea blue eyes. She pinned Jonah down snapping at him. Jonah's eyes wide with fear. Once she realized she phased she turned heel and ran out the door into the woods. She had no idea Jonah had called the beta and reported her and soon after hitting the woods she had two wolves tailing her. She pushed herself to run faster, she'd be damned if she got thrown out of the pack trying to get away from someone trying to forcefully mark her. So deep in her thoughts she ran head first into the largest wolf she'd ever seen in her life. Her eyes widened as she bowed

"Alpha"
