MILA

"Got a pretty face, a pretty boyfriend too"

Putting my things in the car, I realized I forgot my laptop, so I figured I'd take notes on my cell today.

Looking at my watch, the time read 5:47.

Surprisingly I was early, even after the events that occurred this morning.

Checking my phone notifications, I noticed a missed FaceTime call and four text messages from Odessa. I had forgotten I'd tell her what happened last night. Withholding details seemed best right now.

All the time she spent cheering me up and telling me I don't need Elijah would be a waste if I tell her I slept with him again.

While pulling in the parking lot, I sent Odessa a text.

Me: Sorry, fell asleep. On campus now

"I liked having you over." Elijah glanced at me from the drivers seat.

I sent him a friendly smile. "Me too." I opened the door, grabbed my bag, and got out.

Heading inside the main building, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

Odessa: Good. I was worried about you girl

Me: I'm flattered. Lunch today?

Odessa: Sounds good. Can Jasper tag along?

Great. Now I'm gonna have to lie to both of my best friends.

Me: Sure.

I met up with Camille while I was headed to Mr. Miller's class.

"Ooh, you look like a train wreck. Lemme guess." Camille studied my face jokingly. "Sex."

I was dumbfounded. "How'd you know?"

She laughed as we walked inside the dimly lit room. "You smell like it."

"What the fuck? I literally showered this morning." I grabbed my shirt and smelled it.

"Mila," She started, "It's fine. Sex is good." She said, sitting in her seat.

"Good morning to you all. I hope you guys got a good nights rest because we have an initiation exam. Well, it's more of an exam that'll count for 45% of your grade." Mr. Miller displayed log in information on the board. "If you do not have a computer, please come up and grab one."

It was only three of us who didn't bring a laptop, so we all stood and signed our names on a sheet of paper stating that we received one from the school.

Sitting back in my seat, I mentally beat myself up. I knew nothing about this class. I'm not even a business major.

Putting my negative thoughts behind me, I logged in and the first question I read already has me perplexed.

"In a period of rising prices, which inventory valuation method would generally yield both the lowest ending inventory value and the lowest income figure?"

I'm fucked.

"Alright times up. Please submit your assessments. Your grade and percentage will be displayed in the top right corner."

62% D

Holding back tears, I forward these results to my email.
