THEO
"I want you to know how deep my love goes"
***
Two weeks later
"I feel like a blob," Mila says, inspecting her growing stomach.
I let out a chuckle. "A blob, babe?"
"Yes, and I'm bloated. Why'd you feed me so many cupcakes?" She sighed, then looked up at me.
"He's growing. You weren't even showing last week. You both need to eat."
"How do you know it's a boy? It could be a girl. My dad thinks it's a girl."
"I just have a feeling. Call it fatherly instinct."
She laughed. "My skin is breaking out," Mila's hands went to her face and she looked into the mirror.
"You're just as beautiful as the day I met you, even more so now that you're carrying our child." I reassured her, then placed a kiss on her cheek.
Donny took the news surprisingly well. He only threw one object, which was good.
Lillian helped calm him down, and when he did, he was finally happy for us.
Mateo is ecstatic to be an uncle, he alright bought us countless things we won't be needing for months.
The wedding is in almost two months, and Mila has been freaking out, even though I told her I have everything under control. With the help of her friends.
The venue, the caterer, everything.
All she has to do is pick out bridesmaids dresses.
She was leaning toward a soft color, and I agreed with whatever she wanted.
It should be a universal thing that men agree with their women unless they're absolutely one hundred percent wrong. You do not want to feel that wrath.
"Okay, Odessa and I are going to the bridal shop. Is our appointment on your calendar for tomorrow?" She asked me while brushing through her hair.
I nodded. "It's on there."
"Seriously, do not forget. You better be there. I don't care if you have to fly to me. Understand?"
"Yes ma'am. I understand." I followed her to the door.
"I'll be back later, are you cooking tonight?"
"I am, don't worry. Be safe on the road." I kissed her lips, then she left.
I sat down at the dining table looking over paperwork.
I haven't thought about my job for the past few weeks, I've been so wrapped up in Mila, I didn't realize I had a business to run.
While I made conference calls, I stared out our bedroom window and smiled.
This will be my life.
Mila, me, and a baby.
These calls went on for what felt like an eternity, and I was frustrated with my shareholders.
They decided to make a marketing decision without me, and our stocks dropped five percent.
Cazzo.
After cursing and yelling at the idiots, I started preparing dinner.
I texted and asked Mila what she was in the mood for, and she replied 'Anything is fine' followed by a smiley face.
In pregnant woman code, it meant Read my mind or I'll start some shit.
So, I went for the safe route.
Caprese steak.
I started out searing my steak and slightly cooking my vegetables.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a chef, but I knew my way around a kitchen.
I was almost finished when I saw Mila standing by the front door.
I glanced over at her, but she was already staring at me. "You look so good right now."
"Oh yeah?" I replied back, briefly looking down at my apron.
She dropped her bags and made her way to me. "It smells delicious. I'm starving."
"It's almost done. How was the bridal shop?"
"Tiring. My mama met us there and worse part was that I have no idea how big I'll be by our wedding, so I don't know how to get my dress fitted."
"So there's a dress in particular?" I said while making sure our dinner doesn't burn.
"Yes! Theo, it was love at first sight. I can't wait to walk down the aisle with it." She twirled.
"I can only imagine how beautiful you'll look." I kissed the top of her head and plated our food.
We sat at the table vividly discussing our day.
She's so excited to see our little strawberry.
I call it that because it's literally the size of one.
"Have you been thinking about names, yet?" She asked me, looking down at her food.
"Yes, but none seem to fit like how I'd imagine. How do parents do this stuff?" I sighed in defeat.
Mila walked away, then returned with her computer. "Let's look on some baby name websites." She said, opening her laptop.
I leaned over to see the endless amount of names. "Why don't we go with something simple? Like Theodore Jr.?"
"I'm not naming our kid that. You have a grandpa name," she laughed.
"A grandpa name you like screaming, that's exactly what got us into this position." I muttered. "Oh, Theo. Yes. Right there." I mocked with a sly smile.
"Ha ha. Yet another reason not to name our baby after you. Ooh, look at this one. Emilio, named after me." She blushed, turning the laptop more toward me.
"I had a business partner named Emilio. He was a bitch."
"So no, then."
We spent the next two hours narrowing down names, but mostly arguing.
For a girl, Cateleya or Eden.
For a boy, Santiago or Antonio.
Though I never said anything, Theodore Junior was still on the table.
"Come on, let's get you to bed." I whispered, then carried her to our bedroom.
I sat her on the plush mattress, ready to clean up the dishes, but she stopped me.
"Don't go."
"I won't." I cradled her in my arms until she fell fast asleep, and I soon followed.

This chapter is a filler, and I'm sorry it's short.
There are only three more chapters after this, along with an Epilogue.
I will totally miss Mila and Theo like crazy, though. The first six chapters of Enmity will be released September 10, the weekend after this book will wrap up.
Before I forget, thank you all for 7k, I love you.
Vote and comment.
Xoxo, Lola. <3
