My daughter comes down the right staircase and smiles at me. "Mother, I'm gonna take Klaus and Sunny down to the beach, is that okay?"
"It's fine. Just be back before 12. We're going on a picnic," I grin at my eldest.
She has grown in refined beauty, with the brains of all of the scientists on earth shoved together.
Klaus comes down the stairs with my youngest daughter, Sunny, in his arms. I kiss his head as he starts outside waiting for their sister.
"Come on, Violet! The tide's going out in 20 minutes!"
"I know, I'm coming!" Violet tosses a wrench and a screw driver into her bag and runs out the door.
"I love you mother!" she calls as she escorts her siblings down the street.
"I love you too!" I call back.
