Chapter Seven - The Book of Prophecies

It's been three days since Annabeth was given the antidote, and she is still unconscious. Leucondia says it is normal and that I need to stay calm which I trying to be. One of the Jacksons needs to be sane in this situation. Percy won't listen to me and is constantly by Anna's side. I dropped off a plate of food I made for him. I gave him a quick peck on his forehead and told him he needs sleep. Percy has been having his meals in the infirmary and sleeping in one of the unoccupied beds. I went back to the cabin, plopping onto my bed. I stared at the white ceiling, then I heard a whisper of a voice Narissa. Narissa. It just repeated my name.

Celine is that you?

No.

Are you hearing it too? Or am I going insane?

I hear it too. I think it's coming from your unpacked bag. That you were supposed to put away three days ago.

Yeah. Yeah. I pulled my duffel bag on top of my bed. I unzipped it, there it was. The book I borrowed from my dad's place. The voice got louder when I went to pick it up, once my fingertips touched the soft leather. The voice disappeared. Opening the book, I flipped through the aged pages. It contained the prophecies of Greek heroes; Hercules, Theseus, Jason, Achilles, etc. Even my little brother Percy. Then I came across my own:

Many eons ago, the fates saw a prophecy of the future. It included the fates of three daughters. The first daughter, a child of the sea. The second daughter, a child of lightning. The third daughter, a child of the dead. The fates foresaw the day when these three will be born, the same day of when the stars in the sky will perfectly align, which happens once every 10,000 years. The stars will grant the three with special gifts. Tying their fates together. Forming an unbreakable bond. With this also came along a terrible destiny. The Titans will break free, 20 years after their birth. Only they will be able to defeat them. Together as one. With the help of the three artifacts: Serpent's Stone, Eye of Fate, Crown of Gaia. There will be many who wish to kill these girls. So the gods designed a plan. To hide them in different parts of the world. Until they are of age to meet. That is when their destiny will begin to unfold.

It's the same exact prophecy as the Oracle said, well it's more summarized. It still puzzles me. Daughters of the big three must mean the other two must be the daughters of Zeus and Hades. But Thalia and Bianca don't have the same birthday as me. So that means the other two will be arriving later. But what the heck is The Serpent's Stone?

A knock on the door broke my train of thought. It was Percy. I slammed the book shut and slid it under my pillow as Percy opened the door.

"What was that?" He gestured to what was under my pillow, a corner of the book was peeping out.

"Nothing," I tried to slyly push the book back more but failed.

"That doesn't look like 'nothing' to me. Let me see," he reached over me to grab the book. I slapped his hand away and sat on my pillow.

"Percy, it's nothing now leave it." I wasn't sure what this prophecy really was and I didn't want to share what I read until I did. Percy puts his hands up and stood up.

"Fine. Whatever you say, sis," then he sulked out of the room. I let out a deep exhale, massaging my temples. I didn't like keeping things from him, but I'm just not ready to share this.
