(Yeah, its been a while but this is probably one of my favorite stories and I've done so little with it, BTW you can thank special Eddie for this update)

Alice
-----------

Alice and y/n sat embraced for a good while before they parted

Alice: don't worry, neither of us will ever hurt you, your safe with us, you can count on that

Alice turned her attention to tom and grinned when she saw the signs regret in his face, that meant she had won

Y/n stayed quiet as tears streamed down their face, they looked away to hide it but Alice gently put a hand under the child's chin and turned their face up to hers

Alice: hey, it's ok to cry, you won't get in trouble for that here

Y/n nodded and a smile spread across their little face

Y/n: t-thank you

Alice: your welcome,  me and Tom will keep you safe here, we'll feed you, keep you warm, and..... um

Alice tried to think of what a child needed but since she knows basically nothing about kids she came up blank and shrugged

Alice: and anything else I guess

Y/n smiled up at her then looked to tom who looked away, he was probably ashamed that he had wanted to throw y/n out in the beginning

Alice: now why don't we all get some rest, y/n...... hmmm we only have two cots out here, sorry but you might have to sleep in the cell one last time, we'll move you out of there tomorrow, ok?

The child looked up at her and nodded sadly but then tried to smile to cover up how obviously they didn't like the cell

Alice felt terrible but the only other place would be if y/n slep on her cot (she knew tom would never share), although she considered that idea for a moment she didn't think it was a good one, y/n barely knew her, and therefore probably didn't trust her that much

Alice: im sorry y/n, I really am, but there's nowhere else for you to sleep yet

She said as she gently led them over to the small window she had lifted them out of and sighed

Y/n: its ok, its just ...... nothing,  it's nothing

Y/n corrected themselves quickly looking down

Alice now felt even worse, the cell was probably so cold and uncomfortable

Alice: well you could.....

She stopped the rest of the sentence and signed before continuing on

Alice: you could sleep on my cot, it ought to be much warmer and probably more comfy

She cringed inwardly, wish she had kept her mouth shut,  the kid would never trust anything like that, and. Probably never trust her either

She Waited silent for y/ns response
