I heard the door slam.

"I got the job!" My mother exclaimed.

"That's amazing mi amor!" My father joins in there.

"Yeah... the only thing is." She took a breath. "It's in Massachusetts..."

"Oh thank god. It's not like I'm in a pivotal part of my developmental years that makes me crave stability." I sarcastically chimed in from the couch.

I heard my mother sigh. I knew what she was thinking. She thinks it all the time

"Mimi, why can't you all just let us be happy about something for once!"

There it is.

"I mean cmon, you out of everyone here could use a fresh start." She added in.

That was harsh mommy dearest.

"Oh I don't know cause I like it here!" I finally gave into her words. "Because things are normal here. Isn't that what the doctors said, that I need normalcy." I spat back, putting emphasis on my words.

"By normal you mean easy? Easy for you to get away with shit, easy for you to lie, easy for you to-"

"STOP IT! The both you." My dad raised his voice. "Cami how much time do we have until we need to head out there?"

"We have six weeks to find and move into a house." My mom affirmed.

"Splendid." I gritted.

It's crazy how fast six weeks goes by.
