Lucas POV
Its the end of the first day of college and I see Riley & Maya with her minions sitting on the steps of the quad. I decide to go up and talk to her.
L:"Hey Riles "
R:"Don't call me that and what do you want"
L:"Can I talk to you in private."
R:"Ugh sure" we walk over to the side.
R:"So...?"
L:"Meet me here at 8."
R:"Why should I ."
L:"Because"
R:"Fine"
Riley POV
*time laps*
I didn't want to dress up and make it look like I put effort even though I did.
Its 8:25 and he's not here I should've known he would stood me up and hurt me again. I start to walk towards my new apartment.
L:"Riley!!!!"
R:"What Lucas!?"
L:"I'm sorry I'm late I lost track of time."
R:"I'm so stupid "
L:"You're not stupid"
R:"Yes I am"
L:"Then why are you stupid"
R:"For breaking off an engagement with a wonderful wonderful man and going back to the man I love knowing that I will get hurt again"
L:"You still love me"
R:"Of course I do lucas you are all I think about"
Next thing I know his lips where on mine.
I pull back.
R:"But I can't never forgive you for what you did"
L:"Riley"
R:"You know what I did that summer when I went to visit California Lucas. I cried and cried and cried for that whole entire summer. I will never ever forgive you for what you did and even though I love you I will never get back together with you knowing i will get hurt again"
