In the world of Japanese high school volleyball everyone knows about the Miya Twins. Miya Atsumu, awarded best server during junior high and the Interhigh, and the current number one setter in the high school division. Then there is Miya Osamu who plays wing spiker and opposite hitter with skills rivaling his older twin and other acclaimed players across the nation.

However, unknown to a vast majority of the volleyball world the Miya Twins are really the Miya Triplets. Their younger sister Miya Atsuko has grown up loving and playing volleyball with them but holds a deeper passion for basketball as Osamu does for food. For two years she played on the girls' basketball team at Inarizaki High but during her third year she embarked on a journey to play alongside her brothers at the national volleyball level.

The Miya Triplets parents thought they were real clever making the kanji for "Atsu" (暑) from Atsumu mean hot, "Samu" (寒) from Osamu mean cold, and "Atsu" (温) from Atsuko mean warm.
