chapter 8

it was around 2:34am when Taehyung woke up.

Thunder

was the first thing the older thought to himself as it started pouring, the older whimpering as he pulled his pillows over his head.

He had been afraid of thunder ever since he was child, and always had Namjoon to comfort him.

A loud whimper escaped his lips once the thunder hit again, and Taehyung's eyes got teary. His body was starting to shake, but yet he was way to afraid to climb out of his bed and go to Jungkook's room.

Another loud thunderbolt hit and Taehyung instantly sat upright, little whimpers leaving his lips as he grabbed his teddy bear and ran down the hallway.

he wasn't sure which one was Jungkook's room but he figured it was the one of the left, and slowly pushed the door opened.

Another bolt hit and Taehyung jumped, a soft whimper escaping his lips as he held his teddy bear close to his body.

"J-Jungkook?" the older whispered, now even growing more scared since it was so damn dark.

" Taehyung? is something wrong?" Jungkook questioned, sitting upright and turning his nightlight on.

"I'm just afraid of -" another loud thunderbolt and Taehyung whimpered again, immediately running towards the younger's bed.

" the thunder?" Jungkook questioned, rubbing Taehyung's back as he pulled the older on the bed.

Jungkook didn't know what to do so he just placed Taehyung's head into the crook of his neck, his hands rubbing soothing circles into the olders back.

Taehyung still whimpered here and there everytime a thunderbolt would hit, but he seemed more calm.

He also stopped crying, and Jungkook wondered if he was asleep.

It felt weird, comforting someone, protecting someone from something their scared off. Jungkook wasn't use to it, but it was a nice feeling.

" Taehyung - ah?" Jungkook asked, looking down at the boy in his arms. Taehyung was fast asleep, little snores escaping his lips as he held his teddy in one arm, his other arm resting on Jungkook's chest.

Jungkook smiled as he softly moved Taehyung's bangs out of his face, also wiping away his dried stained tears. He softly kissed the crown of his head before stretching his arm out, switching his night light off.

and for the first time in weeks, Jungkook actaully had more than 2 hours of sleep.

One of the maids had gone to wake him up the next morning, and was shocked to see him fast asleep, Taehyung snuggled up to his side.

All of the maids knew of his sleepless nights, since he would usually go to his studio. Instead of waking him up she smiled, softly closing the bedroom door.

Sure Jungkook would probaly be mad, but he needed the sleep, so the scolding would be worth it.

It was about 2 hours later when Taehyung begin to stir, causing Jungkook to wake up aswell. The younger grunted, slowly opening up his eyes to the sunlight coming in through his window

He looked down at the extra weight on his chest, and softly smiled at the sight of Taehyung sleeping soundly.

He was right

waking up to a pretty boy wasn't so bad.

Taehyung softly whined in his sleep as he turned his head a little, snuggling into Jungkook just a little more. The action had Jungkook's heart swelling at how cute the older was being.

He looked at the clock, and sighed once he saw it was already 8:30. He figured one of the maids saw him sleeping with Taehyung and decided to not wake him up, it wouldn't be the first time either.

Jungkook slowly sat upright, well atleast tried to but everytime he slightly moved Taehyung would whine and pull him closer.

" Taehyung" Jungkook sighed, moving the olders bangs out of his face.

Taehyung slowly opened his eyes, rubbing them cutely since they felt so heavy after having cried last night.

Taehyung stopped rubbing his eyes, and looked uo at Jungkook who was already looking down at him.

so last night wasn't a dream

Taehyung thought, blushing as he scooted away from Jungkook, giving the younger his space to move around.

Jungkook stretched his hands over his head, letting out a loud groan, he hadn't slept so nice in weeks.
