i recorded a strumming patern i wanted to show harris. i liked having the studio to myself. it made me not feel so stressed

i filmed a new strum patern that i put

i put my phone before strumming away. i thought back to the last lyrics i wrote which where written days back.

"tried so hard to be everything that you like, just for you to say you're not the compliment type"

"and i knew how you took your coffee and your favorite songs by heart" i memorized every lyric on his playlist just to make him happy and like me more

"i read all of your self help books so you'd think that i was smart" katie walked in as i wrote down the lyrics along with other i had thought of.

"i knew i would find you here" she said

"what's up?" i asked

"seeing how things are coming along"

"working on a new song. finished up with 1 step forward and traitor." i answered

"awesome! did harris tell you he wrote something this week?" she asked and i nodded.

harris showed me the lyrics and i was in love. this could definitely be a pumped up song. i was super happy

"harris i fucking love it. with some heavy drums bass and guitar" i exclaimed.

"YES! i can get an instrumental together as you work on this song. i have some bits i pre recorded" harris said.

we agreed on that. sat back on the couch as he went to the computer to mess around with it. i started playing again

"doo doo doo okay" i started "you found someone more exciting, the next second, you were gone. and you left me there cryin', wonderin' what i did wrong"

i sang softly and wrote down lyrics as i went. i thought before testing lyrics out

"and you always say i'm never satisfied
but i don't think that's true. cause all i ever wanted was to be enough for you" i smiled and wrote it down.

i started up on the second verse as harris got up and went into the recording area. he grabbed a bass and tuned it. katie was on her phone the whole time

"kate you know you don't have to stay. or invite someone to come hang out" i said as she looked up at me

"girl you really want me to invite someone to come watch you make music" she asked

"if i am close with them then i don't care"

"what about that boy of yours last night?" i knew she was referring to punz

"luke and i are friends. but i will invite him if you want me to" i said

"KAY! come help me" harris yelled out

"here text him" i said throwing her my phone before going to help harris move the drum set.

"can i record the bass stuff? i miss playing"

he agreed and we went back to what we were doing. katie handed me my phone back and i looked at the texts

"i hate you so much" i laughed before going back to writing lyrics.

"are you guys really working on two songs at the same time together" i looked up and nodded at her.

luke was already here and giving katie company and harris and i argued over which octave sounded better.

"just do it both ways" kayie said causing us to shut up.

"fine" i said before sitting back down with the guitar.

we were recording for good 4 u. completely based off my text to nick one night. harris was lowkey going through the same thing so having him be a ghost writer was awesome
