Chapter 3

Jamie's POV

  I was so excited she was going to talk to me about it again, but a good kind of excited. I picked her up at 7:45, a lil' early but she was always fine with that. The sooner she could get away, the better. She came running out of the door screaming at her father, her mom and sister were shopping and she gave him a piece of her mind when he tried to stop her from walking out of the door. She jumped in the car and told me to drive as fast as I could.

  "What the hell was that?!? You could have gotten yourself killed!"

"I finally told him off Jamie!! You should be proud of me!" She said really angrily. She seemed upset I yelled at her.

"Did it do what you wanted it to?" I said in a calming voice no matter how upset I was.

  "Yeah actually I feel really good since now he knows how I feel, even if he doesn't care. Jai can I sleep at your house for the next couple of days? You know I cant go home after what happened..."

  "Well at least he knows now and of course you can stay, we'll go get your clothes tomorrow while he's working ok? We'll give him time to drink and forget about it."

  "That would be amazing Jai you're amazing!"

  "That's why you love me!"

  I will always be there for her and she knows that. I know he wont hit me so I  will go get her clothes tonight and I'll tell her mom and sister where she is. But now I'm taking her to the falls we've been going to since we were kids.

"Where are we going dude?" she asked me with a very curious look in her face.

  I smirked at her, "You'll see, now get some sleep I'll wake you when we get there. I know you didn't sleep last night D."

  "Damnit how do you always know things like this...?"

  I smiled at her and she looked out the window and was asleep within minutes. I knew she didnt get any sleep because her eyes were bloodshot and it had to of taken her all night to muster up the courage to do what she did today. She was so scared when she got in the car, I could feel it.

  I never knew why she didnt use her magic on him, her and her mom. I guess they have their reasons but I'll never understand them.

  "Hey D we're here...." she shot up. I guess she was having a nightmare which is why I dont startle her when I wake her up. She's always on edge no matter where she is. Guess that comes from years of abuse.

  "Sorry man, ok. I'll grab my-" she paused, "You took us here!! Its been so long!!"

  She jumped out of the car and slammed my door. I have a Charger you cant just do that!

  "Easy D!!! It's expensive!!" I yelled.

  "Sorry!" she laughed on her way to the water. She had already changed and was halfway there.

  After hours of splashing around and talking. She finally started to talk about what we came here for.

Demi's POV

  I started talking to him about what's been happening and he frowned. His eyes turned sad and looked at me with empathy.
 
  "He's gotten worse Jamie..... he started turning it sexually....." I finally got out. I told him what was happening. This was really hard to talk about. I can't say I was completely ready but I knew he really wanted me to share the weight of it. I continued and he just had the same look on his face.... empathy. He didn't say anything, just listened and nodded.

  He could tell I was starting to cry. He swam over to me and held me, not knowing exactly what to say, all he said was... "I'm sorry D thats horrible. He's such I dick, I want to kill him sweetie but I can't.... he's related to my father."

  "I know and I would never expect you to.. EVER. You know that.... I just wish it would stop...." I started to sob and he just continued to hold me and let me cry. I still can't believe my father would do something like this.
