For Amelie10072004
This is extremly short and awful, but I started this months ago and just finished it and I don't know, with Toni's injury and Sergio in Paris I just can't really grasp onto something to write.
POV Toni:
One week. One week ago already. Or rather just one week ago. To Toni it felt like an enternity.
Seeing Sergio put on PSG gear, seeing him greet his new teammates, seeing him leave as he stood at the airport in tears.
It felt like everything, but not right. Sergio loved Football, he loved Real Madrid, he loved the City and Toni liked to believe that Sergio also loved him.
It felt like hid world was falling apart. Sergio didn't even talk to him about the transfer.
He told him the morning before they announced it and Toni was so shocked.
Sergio was leaving. Not only real madrid. Not only the city and the country, but he also left Toni.
Without thinking twice.
It's not even just the fact that he's leaving. Toni would've supportet him no matter what. It was the fact that apparently Sergio didnt love him enough to care, to trust him snd to talk to him and that shit hurt.
Toni had called his brother, who was very close to booking a flight to paris and strangling Sergio.
He cried to Felix in the hope that he would feel better, but he didn't. With every day it seemed to get worse.
People always said time heals all wounds, but it seems with every second away from Sergio he just got lost more and more.
It was the doorbell that rang him out of his thoughts.
Toni knew he looked tired. He knew there was no chance people couldn't see he had been crying. He knew he looked awful, but he couldn't bring himself to care.
Sergio had gone to Paris and took Toni's happiness with him.
The only thing making hil smile were his children and football nowadays. His children weren't here this week and football wouldn't start for another three weeks.
Without checking who was standing in front of his door he opened it. The second he did however he felt like he was glued to the spot.
In front of him stood Sergio. His Sergio. Looking as glamorous as always. Just that the happy expression on his face changed to a worried one really fast when he spotted Toni and the state he was in.
"Toni. Mi corazón. What happened?"
Sergio took a step towards him expanding his arms in Toni's direction and trying to cup his face, but Toni stepped away.
Sergio couldn't just come and go when he wanted without even telling him if they were still dating or not and not to mention the disappointment and sadness he had left Toni with.
So he decided it was time he stood up for himself and told Sergio how he felt.
"What are you doing here? You just signed a contract for a different club in a different country without even thinking about talking to me.
I would always listen to you. No matter what decision, I would've always supported you. I loved you, I still do, but you hurt me, so tell me why are you standing here pretending nothing happened?"
Sergio's face took on a guilty expression and he looked at his shoes.
"I was just afraid. I was scared you wouldn't want a long-distance relationship and the decision had to be made fast and then they were demanding me in Paris already and I didn't know how to tell you."
Sergio's voice was nothing more than a small whisper, but Toni's expression remained cold, he was not yet ready to give in.
"I thought you trusted me. I wouldn't have dumbed you just because theres a couple of hundret kilometers distance between us. Yeah sure it wouldn't have been ideal and I would've been scared as well, but we could've made it work. Together."
"Then what now?", Sergio's eyes were slightly glassy, when he finally looked up to Toni again.
"Right now I want you to go back to Paris or whereever and leave me alone. I need time to think and I guess you could use that too. Just be aware that I cannot assure you that we'll still be a thing afterwards because I don't know if I can repair that trust towards you if you're in Paris and I'm here."
Sergio said nothing just stared blankly at him before nodding and walking off with hanging shoulders.
The entire scenario already felt like a break up to Toni, but somehow he wasn't willing to give up just yet.
I'm going to leave this as an open ending because I really didn't know how to finish this and I didn't want to make it worse than it already was, so yeah, I hope you enjoy anyway.
