Loki followed the other versions of himself through a field.
"I suggest we take a breather, so I can ask several thousand questions," Loki said.
"Gotta keep moving so we don't die," Classic Loki remarked.
"Okay, but what's your plan?" Loki wondered.
"Don't die," Classic Loki answered.
"Okay, but beyond that?" Loki asked.
"Don't die," Classic Loki repeated.
"That's not a plan. It's a general demand of living. If you're Lokis, you should always have..." Loki started.
He was interrupted by strange birds, running by.
"Will someone please explain to me what the hell is going on? Look, it's been a very, very, very trying past few days. Months? I don't even know how long it's been since New York. All I know is, I got pruned and I woke up here, and now I'm surrounded by Variants of myself, plus an alligator, which sadly I didn't find all that strange. And now we're running from God knows what to God knows where. When I need to be trying to find a way back to the TVA," Loki ranted.
Kid Loki then tripped him up with a small sword he conjured up then pointed it at Loki.
"Stop wailing or you will signal Alioth," Kid Loki demanded.
"You mean the monster in the sky?" Loki asked.
Kid Loki rolled his eyes as he made his sword disappear then helped Loki up.
"Thank you," Loki thanked.
"This is the place where the TVA dumps its rubbish, everything they prune. And Alioth, he ensures none of it ever returns," Classic Loki informed.
"It's a living tempest that consumes matter and energy. They send entire branched realities here that are devoured instant..." Boastful Loki remarked.
"We're in a shark tank. Alioth is the shark," Classic Loki clarified.
The alligator growled at that.
"Oh, there's no such thing as an alligator tank. Besides, it's a better metaphor," Classic Loki pointed out then said, "He's overly sensitive like the rest of us."
"Hang on, that thing's a Loki too?" Loki asked.
"Oh, yes," Classic Loki nodded.
"Okay, fine. Willing to accept that," Loki commented then asked, "Why are there so many of you?"
"Because Lokis survive. That's just what we do," Classic Loki answered.
"Great. So how do we escape?" Loki wondered.
"We don't. All of us were arrested by the TVA and pruned, just like you. And just like you, we all stood around making bad plans that went nowhere," Classic Loki remarked.
"But we could use a TemPad," Loki pointed out.
"Oh, the one thing that could get us out of here, yes. They're all over the place, right, guys?" Classic Loki asked sarcastically.
They just started laughing at that.
"Fine. What about causing a nexus event?" Loki wondered.
"The TVA doesn't care what happens here," Classic Loki remarked.
"Surely there's something to do," Loki replied.
"There is. Survive. That's all there is. All there ever was," Classic Loki stated.
"We're done talking. Let's go. Just do what you want," Kid Loki said before they continued forward.
"Okay, wait, wait, wait. Why do you wear the horns? You let a child command you," Loki said.
"You'll do well to respect the boy. This is his kingdom," Classic Loki warned.
"Right. What was your nexus event, Your Majesty?" Loki asked.
"I killed Thor," Kid Loki answered bluntly.
That made Loki think for a minute about that before following the others. They soon made it to a sewer area and went underground to their hideout.
"So, why did you want to return to the TVA so badly, anyway? You leave your glorious purpose there?" Classic Loki asked.
"Something like that," Loki answered as he scanned the area.
